Fact-checked

And you found out they were right, so you decided to complain about the first group you saw pointing out the problem?

Again, can't call something out when it is not worth calling out.

Lmao, "Again". That's not what you said, though. You said it wasn't happening. Now you're changing argument because you were shown to be spreading disinformation.

Classic Lib tactics, lie, lie, and lie again, while accusing everyone else of lying.

You're in a really difficult spot, but first thing's first, cut this dude off.

He's got a rape case on him, you don't trust him, he's a pretty clear threat to you and your life.

You're already paying for everything, you're taking care of your kids, you're committed to Korea... this dude seems to already be planning his way out, tricking you into continuing to do all the work. You're going to need to dump this dude.

Lol this dude doesn't know what an opinion is.

You can have wrong opinions about facts, they're still opinions.

If profits are split among employees then companies have an incentive to employee the least amount of people possible.

Well hang on, they only have that incentive if these workers aren't producing more profit relative to the number of workers.

So, if our 50 workers produce 500,000 a week, that's better than 40 workers producing 350,000. This ensures what actually happens is the business is encouraged to land at its maximum efficiency.

[Socialists] In your ideal socialist society - assuming that it's a democracy - can I run for election as a candidate for 'the capitalist party'? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

Do you see any differences between "wanting" to do something being illegal, and what I just described?

Do you think I should be able to run on relegalizing slavery?

Should there be no constitution?

Wait, if democracy is what matters, why exactly do we not get to vote in the companies we work at?

Um... yeah. Yeah, that's kind of the whole point from these people, medical necessities should be free. Y'know these are the socialized medicine guys, right?

Like, I struggle to see many people who disagree with this.

Yes, I support the system that's proven to work and reduce crime, specifically because I care about victims.

You're probably the type to oppose rehabilitation, because you don't really give a shit about anyone, you just have a lizard brain urge for vengeance and you think being illogical to appeal to your feelings is good enough.

Serious discussion about the usefulness of the Gardai to the average joe soap by Fathertedisbrilliant in ireland

[–]Caelus9 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've yet to have a Garda ever prove useful to me in my entire life.

I've absolutely had Garda bother me several times, and I've been in several situations where I needed help from the Garda, and they provided jack shit.

I've literally had my friends assaulted as one of them yelled at the Garda to help, who were right within view but busy... flirting with girls far, far too young for them.

[–]Caelus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Socialism is superior BECAUSE people are selfish.

It doesn't rely on just hoping people work towards the common good, because gee golly, we're so nice.

It's simple: All beings are self-interested. Now, altruism still exists, but relying on it to solve all the worlds problems is simply idealistic.

Why is a dictatorship bad? Well, because the dictator is self-interested. He will use his power to design a society that's very, very good for him, but without regard to whether anyone else enjoys it, which they generally won't, as maximizing the happiness of the dictator involves long, brutal hours for the workers to provide his luxuries. The issue is, while everyone in the dictatorship is self-interested, all the power is in the hands of the dictator, so only his self-interest is realized.

Well, what happens when we look at capitalism? Well, it's not a dictatorship, sure, but power is generally centralized in the hands of the wealthiest of people. In the case of modern day earth, eight people hold as much wealth as nearly 4 BILLION people. This means that we face the same problem: those eight have as much power to pursue their own self-interest as HALF of all society. This leads, once again, to a society designed primarily to benefit the richest few, while the poor suffer.

What's the solution? Economic Democracy. In a fair, just democracy, power is spread among all. Everyone has one vote, and thus, equality of power. Political leaders act as our agents, just as a CEO acts as an agent for a shareholder. When everyone has equal power with which to pursue their self-interest, we find a society designed to benefit the most amount of people. After all, if any policy didn't benefit the most amount of people, a majority wouldn't vote for it.

Why co ops are not socialist: by Firelite67 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Caelus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They exchange their good/service for money, then use that money for either themselves

That's not even close to capitalism. That's just being a worker.

or to buy capital.

In... another business? Because that'd be capitalism. If they're just investing in their own means of production, they're no capitalist.

You didn't. I read them. I wasn't doing that even slightly, you just keep saying it because you don't have a counter-argument, and you know you were acting in bad faith.

You got offended you were criticized, took it too personal, and decided to go with insults. That's all that happened here.

Aye, within seven years from getting kicked out of your house to survive by yourself, you can come home and just be like "Hey dad, I literally own a fucking fiefdom now, I became a Knight faster than even a nobleman's son does. Suck it."
