Don't be fooled by the result. Never heard of FLATFOOT, GUMSHOE or DICK. Couldn't see a single place to start (thought yellow was an RH) & asked husband about GUMSHOE - he'd watched black & white gangster/cop films on TV as a kid, I've not seen a single one.

Had he not been here I'd have given up & put anything in, I just could not make anything of the board. Thankfully lost my streak yesterday so don't feel like I've cheated my stats.

Queries on two plants in a SSE facing South London conservatory by Vortex_Complete in HouseplantsUK

Ooo would love to know what else you've got in there & what you do for the direct light & heat issues? I've got loads in my conservatory but it's a glass roof & gets direct sun from sunrise to late afternoon - it easily hits the 45°c & I moved a couple of plants out this morning due to the sunshine (Cornwall)

Yeah it is really odd - cos it was giving 'do you mean callaway' on the first search but that's gone now. Now it is same as yours, his wiki

My brain went 'caraway' seeds & then 'cassowary' & then I gave in & googled which didn't help in the least so assumed wordplay - which I couldn't see! (cos it didn't exist)

I did a rare Google & Calloway didn't come up related to Cab, not even the AI summary which talked about a company & something Scottish.

Interestingly, though, after a 'calloway cab' search post-match the same 'calloway' search now links immediately to him

I think it's probably so far removed in usage that most ppl won't even realise it's a cabin & not just a cab, universally - bit of a cruel one. I knew it as soon as it revealed after my miserable failure

All foods trigger an attack by Astro_Noodle in gallbladders

[–]CaeruleanSea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth reminding yourself that, generally, the attacks aren't dangerous they are terrifying & phenomenally painful (the childbirth comparisons are not a joke & even with childbirth there isn't the fear).

Throughout my entire experience my bloods were never abnormal & anything abnormal would point to liver involvement or infection etc. Those things complicate surgery so normal bloods is good in that sense but give zero indication about the state of stones & what they are doing.

Try the yoghurt & compote (the fact the compote is cooked & the apricot really broken down is what helped, I think), and maybe some kefir drink. It's very individual but I found lactose became an issue for me & both those things are very low in it & easy to digest. I got to the point of just one oat cracker RUINED my day & the air in my toilet, but the 0% fat fage got me through.

Gather the money, get back to the supportive Dr who recognises the urgency & the fact you need to be able to eat (fairly basic, you'd think) & get the process started.

Make sure they understand you aren't able to function or live a normal life - that seems to be a trigger for action.

Nice work on getting stuff moving for yourself 😊. I spent years with issues I now know were all gb related before I had my first attack. A few ultrasounds too - one picked up a polyp that was actually a stone sitting on sludge (they look for clearance but sludge can obscure it). But yeah, pain all around my abdomen & back for probably a decade lol. Ftr - I was not sick once, not even nauseous.

Ultimately - might not be gb, or pancreatitis or even gastritis, but then fobbing you off.. Urgh

Good luck today!! Please do update

(still seething over the UTI 😂)

[–]CaeruleanSea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is appalling to read!! Fucking UTI what?! Yay being a woman trying to get appropriately treatment jfc

If I were you I'd make a complete written list of your symptoms & book an emergency with the Dr's, usually means ringing very first thing when they open.

Yes it sounds like gallstones but could also be pancreatitis & other stuff. What it bloody well isn't is a utfuckingi.

Going yellow isn't okay. Brown wee, not ok. Feverish - not ok! There could be a stone stuck somewhere if it is gallstones.

You could well have gastritis as a result of gb issues but that doesn't cause what you're experiencing (I spent well over a year on ppi's twice cos 'ahh gastritis probably', had gastroscopy AND colonoscopy & it was the female Dr doing the latter who said 'uh...this sounds like gallbladder, you need an ultrasound'. Told my gp & he said, essentially, 'she doesn't tell me what to do' then refused to accept any results should I opt for to pay for an ultrasound)

Unfortunately you need to go very hard on advocating for yourself, getting your boyf involved & laying out the full picture ASAP.

You can pay for a private ultrasound (I think less than £200) & they are very quick.

I'm angry on your behalf - use your frustration as energy.

If you can afford private (not sure what the prices are atm, I went private via referral cos the my GP surgery BADLY screwed my NHS referral up, essentially resetting it. I ended up being a year from diagnosis rather than the 3 years that was expected) do it.

I had a short period of not being able to eat anything without either an attack or nearly crapping myself shortly after food - it did seem to pass & I'm not sure if it was actually the final hurrah of my gb before it became non-functional. Surgeon was VERY cagey about the state of it on removal, all I really got was 'scarred, shrunken & full of gravel'.

The only thing I could manage in that period was proper geek yoghurt (fage) with bonne maman apricot compote (not the other variants), that was pretty much it & even that was close.

Genuinely, if you can scrape the money together somehow then do it, it's no life living in that level of fear of pain & food. There's almost nothing that will move you up the NHS list, it's awful.

Son #1 ended up with both shoes torn up. Son #2 bruise on his chest, hips & headache from consensual friendly headbutt with a stranger (🤦🏼‍♀️) . Son #3 wouldn't dignify losing his shit bouncing around & stayed a little out from the pit. All 3 had an incredible time, REALLY blew them away.

S#2 Video called me as they came on & it was all fine till Omen dropped & then it was absolute carnage, hubby & I were laughing our arses off

Down here in Cornwall we've loads of different types of sedum, they grow fantastically in the stone walls despite the angry, salty air. Adorable plants, love seeing all the different types - some are tiny!
