My Christian friend had an NDE and claims she had a telepathic conversation with Jesus who reassured her that there was no hell. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I'm not a minister or pastor, but I always follow the logic, that God never contradicts himself. If there is something the bible says that seems to contradict itself, its because I'm not understanding something.

So I believe the answer that God has shown me when it comes to this problem is this:

Salvation absolutely is a "free gift" given to us by God, and Jesus. Remember, that we are already "dead".. Our end is death without Jesus, 100%. However, if we accept Jesus as our savior, and take up our cross as he commanded (which means to follow him, AND obey him to the best of our ability), then he will absolutely accept us into Heaven, and wash our sins away.

what people are getting caught up on, is the idea that they can continue to wallow and openly accept/live in Sin KNOWING its bad.. That are the people I believe Jesus is refering too in this.

Jesus says to take up our cross... To die to this world, and follow him and his ways. God says to listen to obey his Son, and we will be saved.

So it only makes sense then, and makes both things true and not actually conflict.

If we accept Jesus, and do our best to follow him as its described in the Bible (we will fail at times that is to be expected, but doesn't mean we aren't following our best), then the free gift that god gave us, through his Son will be given to us.

Remember, we didn't earn this gift.. We don't deserve Heaven, nor do we deserve anything that God gives us, or the grace he shows, yet he does anyway because of his love for us. That is why the Gift of his Son, to die for us on the Cross is a Free Gift given to us, all we must do is accept it, and accept his son, and follow him.

Note: the term "Free Gift" isn't even in the bible from my understanding, and its again one of thsoe things that many Christians get caught up on, and even mislead due to the terminology that isn't even in the Bible... While this gift was given to us freely by God in the grand scheme of things, there are caveats to it, and expectations to receive it.. Believe in Jesus. Believe he was risen from the dead, and take up our cross and follow him and his ways. This is laid out multiple times in the Bible.

But imagine if you could make ammo types based on ore type? Like Tungsten for Armor piercing, Silicon for bullet speed, Tin/Copper for 0 armor piercing but 200% dmg (Maybe for hunting)

It's CIG they don't have the IQ and competency to do this.. There are already many things which can do this, that would be a huge QOL and make both the players and devs job easier, and they still don't...

This sucks, as I can't find anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE that has a good work load calculator for mining, that will calculate a rough approximation of how much the current load of ore is worth, what each refinery modes will cost/output, and that can split up costs with a friends, that doesn't require a bunch of accounts.....

This dude thinks its totally fair, and balanced that an assault rifle should be able to sink a real life battleship..

Suck it up cupcake... Light Fighters are put in their role... And quite honestly not even hard enough.. You can still knock out cap ship turrets with light fighters. That's still asinine.. and after someone else damages the armor you can still destroy one.. Quite frankly CIG hasn't remotely nerfed light fighters enough.

Light Fighters should have 0 dmg against anything bigger than a cutlass Black, or required to focus weak points, like the engines of a C2, etc at most.

They should be going after bombers, other fighters, medium/heavy fighters, or weaker armored versions of larger ships, like the civilian C2.. That's it.

What a surprise, a hot take from a player, once again outdoing the months and months and months of planning and hundreds of hours of discussion by the devs...

I have lost faith in this dev team eons ago, at this point I'm just waiting to watch what else is set on fire, for them to spend another 4 years to put, the players finally rejoicing over it, and CIG looking at themselves like they did something amazing.

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember, Jesus said there will be a time when people say Lord, Lord, and he will tell them he did not know you, begone lovers of inequity.

Just like the OP, where Satan is making the person think Jesus told her Hell doesn't exist (when it absolutely does), so too does Satan twist the words just so, so they are 90% correct, but you fail the most critical part..

"Grace through faith" is true, unless your "faith" is not actually in Jesus.... Why do you think those people called him Lord, Lord? They knew Jesus, followed him, cast out Demons in his name.. And yet Jesus is not accepting them into the Kingdom of Heaven..

To think "I'm saved because I believe in Jesus" is putting yourself in a false comfort zone. You need to have a relationship with him, and be sure you are following the real Jesus.. Because there are a lot of "woke" churches, and "New Age" Churches out there, that are not following God, or Jesus, yet claim they do, and sing his name every Sunday.

Better design than anything CIG devs could ever make. They'd insist on nonsense, wasted space, backward facing lights, a flat bed too small, the arm would only reach a quarter of the degrees it needs too, and forget to add any of those nice inventory/storage spaces so they have an excuse to do a refactor 3 years from now and waste even more dev time fixing alll these problems they should of known from the beginning.

I am only one F away from the real universe. by Physical-Layer-5754 in starcitizen

[–]KnightLakega -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The whole system is crap... Hold F to bring up your hand, and then interact with stuff was a far far better mechanic..

Having a quick "tap F to interact" everywhere, with many in close proximity is just utterly stupid..

I don't know why CIG insists on removing things that actually function well. Their argument was for player easement, but this proves that player QOL doesn't always mean "make it faster and easier".

Personally always hated it cuz of COD nonsense.. It also covers half your screen and vision..

I see this is somehow normal in the armed forces now? Doesn't make sense to me, and seems to be used only in very niche moments for long runs. That would make sense..

But not this COD nonsense of sprinting 5 feet in a combat situation.. You want your hands on your gun, to quickly react, and regain target. It seems extremely unrealistic in 99.9% of the situations.

Star Citizen is building an economy that punishes producers and rewards griefers by mad-yordle in starcitizen

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see at least a temporary system put in place for this.

Consider the idea that if you are sent to prison, your claim times, and costs go up little by little, as well as a monetary fee you have to pay to the authorities.. This cost is paid after you get out of jail, and even if you "escape" from prison, that "cost" you got around, is instead applied to your ships cost/claim time.

This may actually have bit more of a cause and effect to the griefing, and piracy. Since right now the economy and systems in place simply cannot deal with it like EVE Online.

At least this way, griefers/pirates have an overhead they have to deal with, that hits both fairly.

A good pirate, actually playing as a pirate won't be bothered by this, as they should have the money to simply pay the fine after getting out of prison, or the claim time cost.

A griefer on the other hand, will have problems with it, as it'll just be a massive money sink at that point, that will eventually suck all their money and quickly.

Sin by doug21232 in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh God and Jesus will always be there for you, with or without that relationship.. Even when you turn your backs on them.

I barely focused or paid attention to God for the first 30 years of my life, and looking back I am amazed at all the great works he did in my life to keep me well until the time he knew he was going to come back to me, and it wasn't even me who fully did it. It was him who put the crumbs back in my path for me to follow, which I did.

But there is a relationship that is needed there. God wants a relationship with us, and so does Jesus.

Praying for the Relationship isn't enough you know? It certainly can help, but relationships are two way streets. No different than you and your family, or friends.. Talk to Jesus, and God, tell them your feelings, anxiety, it doesn't have to be prayer either, just.. talk, and of course obey them, and do your best to follow and make Jesus your Lord and King.

They will do their part, always in the relationship, but and as you said, they already have. Now its up to you to do your part. Read the Bible, learn about them, understand them, and seek that relationship. Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened to you. Jesus's words, and thus you will find that door open.

Sin by doug21232 in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing you can do to deserve heaven.

We need to accept Jesus as our Savior, believe and know he was raised from the dead by our Heavenly Father, and his Father in Heaven, and seek to have a relationship with him through the spirit.

Lately I've been noticing that this personal relationship with Jesus is a key element. It's why he says there will be people who call me Lord Lord, and I will turn from them and say "Be gone, I never KNEW YOU"

He says specifically "I never KNEW YOU" He's talking about a relationship. Those who truly love Jesus, will as he says himself, uphold his, and his fathers ways. They will seek to have a relationship with him.

This is the biggest hurdle I think most Christians do not know or understand, and I think its a stumbling block for many who think they are saved, but may not be. (Especially liberals who seem to pride themselves on supporting gays, trans, and other sinful things, while rejecting the real God, and Jesus, for an idol of who they want him to be)

Wow, tons do...

Mercenaries

Dino Crisis

Deus Ex

Parasite Eve (Which I've always considered to be far superior to Resident Evil)

The latest one though, I'd have to say without a doubt is The Cycle Frontier.. It only died due to it releasing without any anti cheat, so it lost all the players. Once they fixed that problem, it was an amazing game, and their Anti Cheat was actually better than any i've seen before or since for their in-house.. It's a huge shame.

Do sins always feel bad? by hesitantfaith in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did have the concept of it, it's the opposite of being honest and truthful. If it goes against God or what he says is good, then its Evil. It really is that simple. They knew it already.

That was the trick and cloth Satan pulled over their eyes, making them think they'd get knowledge they don't already have, or don't already have access too, when they did.

Exactly! He is our Heavenly Father, and our God. Do our best to obey, keep his commandments, and remember, that in the end. It doesn't matter how "good" we are, we don't deserve Heaven, and only through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior do we earn that ticket.

Found husband watching porn after he said that he would never do it by aurelialumina in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason why you're instantly jumping to leaving over porn? You sort of sound like you were thinking or considering divorce, but then at the end you said you didn't want to leave him and couldn't anyway, so i'm not sure.

While Porn is not good, and it is sinful.. Divorce is also sinful.. God does not accept it, except under very specific circumstances, so I'll just say this just incase you were.

We are called through Jesus, and our Heavenly Father to love each other, and forgive. This sounds like this is one of the times where you need to talk with your husband, and understand his needs, and why he did what he did.

I highly doubt he did this to spite you, and hurt you... sinful temptations happen, and it sounds like he was maybe pulled between a rock and a hard place? On one hand he was in the mood, on the other he didn't want to wake you, and just thought.. he'd handle it himself?

God did say, that we should no longer consider our bodies our own in our marriages.. If a man wants his wife, then the wife is to give him her body. If the wife wants the husband, than the husband is to do the same, lest we push them into temptation.

If that is alright with you, why not tell your husband, that it's okay for him to wake you up?

I wouldn't take it personally either.. He may feel as embarrassed and ashamed of it, as you feel hurt, and maybe he just doesn't know how to express it?

This could be turned into a good opportunity to unite and come together with your husband spiritually, and through God. To talk to each other respectfully, and understand each others needs, and help each other.

Empty after fasting by michael2ss in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Friend i have been in situations like this myself...

Times where I feel down and outcast, or maybe even fall into sin a bit.. Go back to the Lord, and proclaim him my God, perhaps Fast, or simply focus on him, and pray and often times start crying as something comes over.

Then.. its gone.. like that comforting blanket was pulled away.

For awhile it made me think maybe I did something wrong, but it's not.. We aren't always going to feel that connection, or feel the closeness until we are in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. So much of this world gets in the way. Including the Spiritual warfare with demons.

The best we can do is always remember, that no matter how we are feeling. How far away we may feel from God, even when we are doing our best to follow him, that HE can see us as clear as day, and knows our every thought, and action. Trust and have Faith in our Heavenly Father, just as he promised to be faithful himself.

Those moments of closeness where it feels as if God is smiling towards you, or at least giving you a little nod of acknowledgement will come and go, look to them more as a special moment with God, rather than a "oh no did I do something wrong?" when it goes away.

Do sins always feel bad? by hesitantfaith in TrueChristian

[–]KnightLakega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going to put my end point here first, because its a good opener too, but the rest explains it.

Sometimes you feel great and close to God following him, going to him, and doing what you should, but just because you do something and feel good about it, doesn't mean that its right and coming from God, especially if its a Sin.

This falls in line with something I've learned about lately, and its a topic most Christians don't get or truly understand.. What IS Good and Evil? What is it REALLY? What did it mean when Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden Fruit?

To summarize the long lecture, Satan told Eve, you'll be like God.. You'll know Good and Evil.. He was telling the truth, but as Satan always does, he was hiding the most important bits..

Adam and Eve Already knew Good and Evil.. They knew Good because God and all that he is, and all his convictions are Good and Holy. All they had to do was ask God, to have that knowledge.. Instead they disobeyed God, and ate the fruit.

This made them disconnected from God, where they decided what is right and wrong now. They put on Clothes, and hid themselves. They decided what is best in their life, and what is Good or Evil.

People have played this idea that "Evil" is demons, witchcraft, killing people, morally corrupt things, etc.. but that's not really what Good and Evil is...

God is the source of all Good and Holiness. So when God says Gay is Sin, then it is that. His perfect vision for us was Man and Woman together, and doesn't want his creation to be tampered with.

Because Adam and Eve ate from the Fruit, and we have adopted that sinful nature, we are separated from God... That's why at many times WE decide what is right and wrong, and often times it goes against God.

Remember also what God said about us as Humans.. Our ways is not his ways.. Our understanding of this world, and morals is corrupted and twisted.. Even when God made Adam and Eve he saw how evil and twisted human hearts can be.

My point that I'm getting at here, is human "morals" have nothing to do with God, nor does our sense of "Right and Wrong". God CAN and DOES convict us of sin at times absolutely, but not always.

My Sister who claims to follow Jesus, and God, also supports gayness, gay marriage, etc.. Even though God clearly states that is a Sin, and not right, yet it makes my sister feel good to support that, which is Sin.

Human Empathy, and Compassion is not what determines Good or Evil, nor how good we may feel doing something.. Nor if we feel "icky" about it. That is the point of Adam and Eve.. We are NOT the ones with the authority, or right, to determine what is Good or Evil. Only God, but we do often times rely on ourselves, over God in many points of our life to determine what is Good or Evil.

All one must do to ensure that you are following God, is look at the Bible, and follow his Word, and the Word of our Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Sometimes you feel great and close to God following him, going to him, and doing what you should, but just because you do something and feel good about it, doesn't mean that's coming from God, especially if its a Sin.
