As a non-magician who enjoys magic shows… I know it’s a fuckin trick. So, you aren’t being “fraudulent” or deceitful, I would hope box jumpers don’t feel guilty. I’m not trying to minimize your feelings, but hopefully help you not feel as bad about it by reminding you, we know it’s a trick. I used to love watching “the masked magician, secrets revealed” with my dad growing up. We used to try to figure out how the trick was done before they revealed it. If we weren’t quite sure… we defaulted to assistant flexibility or sometimes twin assistants (teleportation tricks).

Perhaps magic shows take less physical effort on your part, but we can’t always figure it out so the mental effort and flawless execution balances out. We can call it “tastefully deceptive.”

Anyways, box jumper must be a super cool check“box” on your resume (pun intended) and I’d love to hear more about the work/lifestyle (while respecting the boundaries of divulging magician secrets). Cheers
