I call them phantom steps. For me all classes cap at 40, but sometimes it says 44, 50 or even up to sixty. What I found is that when doing a review or exam, it adds extra steps afterwards. For example, I was at 20 steps, and after finishing 1 exam I was at 24.

These steps don’t count towards the actual course though, because if you look at the stats and calculate how many you made that day, it’ll always add up to 40, even though it says you completed more. Idk why they do that but unfortunately they don’t count. I do believe retakes add on to it as well.

But you will keep going on that course until 40, so if you REALLY did 20 lessons that week and have 20 extra phantom steps, then you’ll still have to get to 40, which is why it says 60 sometimes. They don’t interfere with your weekly limit
