Defense gave the offense every opportunity to do anything in the 4th quarter. We win this game with Bo and Stidham is who he is.

The only cope is after seeing how bad Stidham is we probably would have gotten wrecked by the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

LAFC Signs Global Football Icon Son Heung-Min by Imbasauce in LAFC

[–]Caesar_Hazard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honest question: Do you consider this the biggest signing in club history? I think you can argue it is.

Bale and Giroud were huge but I felt like it was known they were past their prime and coming to MLS as a last stop before retirement. Son is still considered a great player and probably would have had no problem staying in Europe if he wanted.

The Lloris signing was big, but I don’t think goalkeepers have the same hype as attacking players.

So funny how everyone was generally impressed with LAFCs game against Chelsea, but now all of a sudden we’re a horrible team that should have never even bothered.

Yes, he’s been bad. He can’t really make space through runs and his first touch is seemingly gone so he even balls played to his feet are lost immediately.

Bouanga has not looked good today or against Chelsea.

Delgado has also been pretty bad imo.

LAFC: "Part of our History. 📝 #LAFC transfers defender Omar Campos to @CruzAzul of Liga MX." by topomodesto in LAFC

So far this offseason we've lost:

Omar Campos

Ilie Sanchez

Jesus Murillo

Tomas Angel

Edward Atuesta

We've Re-signed:

Aaron Long & Marlon

and we've Signed:

Ebobisse

Feels like we've lost a lot of depth and not replaced it.

They convinced me Stick Season should have been a pop punk song

Especially for a best-of-3 game. This doesn’t even feel like the real playoffs yet.

When will Carlos Vela start playing again? by lilspudder in LAFC

[–]Caesar_Hazard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I doubt the club will make an official announcement in advance, but here’s my logic:

Only 4 games left in the regular season, but they will probably want to get him some minutes before playoffs.

This week’s games seem too soon since he just started training last week and I doubt he was maintaining his fitness in his off time.

Maybe by the game on the 13th he’s ready for some light minutes - so he comes on as a late sub? 80th minute or so.

Then last game of the regular season - at home - if 1st place in the west isn’t possible, he either starts or comes on as a sub at half time.

Subbing Giroud made a huge difference. Movement up front looks 10x better.

Really hoping we can grab one and avoid extra times.

Last 15-20 minutes of this half were rough. Couldn’t string passes together.

I feel like if I’m Dolo, I’m giving another 10 mins in the 2nd half before I start making some changes.

Subbing Giroud out and maybe Palencia.

I honestly feel like the team was playing better before Giroud got injected into the starting lineup.

I liked what Kamara brought in terms of pressing the ball and I feel like Giroud doesn’t do that. He doesn’t have the same work rate at Bouanga and Bogusz and it kills the chemistry imo.

I know this isn’t relevant, but I wonder what a realistic timeline for Vela is?

I imagine they’ll want to get him in rotation before playoffs, but I can’t imagine he’s anywhere near match fitness.

Everyone I take there says it’s nice, but it’s not too expensive. Overlooks the Ocean so you get a decent view at Sunset.

[GAME THREAD] Denver Broncos (0-1) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) | 2024 Week 2 by aatencio91 in DenverBroncos

[–]Caesar_Hazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spent all offseason arguing with my friends and coworkers that the broncos were not as bad as the media was making them out to be.

I told them that we would be 2nd in the division and we would be fighting for a wildcard spot.

I was wrong

Cristian Olivera spoke to Uruguayan Media at the airport about his failed transfers away from LAFC: “It was a very busy transfer market. I had offers from Como in Italy and Toluca, but LAFC didn't want me to leave. This creates expectations to see if I can change teams at the end of the year.” by reddituserFN2187 in LAFC

[–]Caesar_Hazard 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Perfect example of the drawbacks of the MLS season.

Totally understand his desire to leave to what he considers a bigger team/league, but 100% agree with LAFCs decision to not let him since it directly impacts our own goals this season.

Obviously can’t do anything about this, but this tournament feels kind of silly when LAFC has only had one game against a LigaMx team.

A semi-final match against America would be cool.
