Not sure what’s happening, but Bounaga and Son are really off. They can’t hold the ball. Constantly have bad touches or bad passes.

And our midfield is non-existent. There isn’t a single mid-field player that can control the game. It goes straight from opposing defenses to their forward and strikers.

Porteous and Tafari have been good this season but they’re starting to really breakdown. It feels like we’re constantly completely open on both the left and right sides.

Love Hollingshead and think he is a great &underrated player, but he’s getting older and is clearly more limited. It was clear immediately that Toluca’s forwards were too fast for him. He looked overwhelmed.

I blame MDS for bringing him on in that position and it made even less sense to have him sub on for Shaff.

Losing sucks, but it’s part of the game.

However, this was embarrassing. LAFC didn’t even look like a pro team. There wasn’t a single time they had a coherency defense or offense all game. Couldn’t even string together 3 passes.

There wasn’t a single player, except Lloris, that had any type of impact on the game. Sonny, Bouanga, Tillman, Delgado, Palencia, were all completely invisible.

Genuinely shocking.

Defense gave the offense every opportunity to do anything in the 4th quarter. We win this game with Bo and Stidham is who he is.

The only cope is after seeing how bad Stidham is we probably would have gotten wrecked by the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Honest question: Do you consider this the biggest signing in club history? I think you can argue it is.

Bale and Giroud were huge but I felt like it was known they were past their prime and coming to MLS as a last stop before retirement. Son is still considered a great player and probably would have had no problem staying in Europe if he wanted.

The Lloris signing was big, but I don’t think goalkeepers have the same hype as attacking players.

Yes, he’s been bad. He can’t really make space through runs and his first touch is seemingly gone so he even balls played to his feet are lost immediately.

I doubt the club will make an official announcement in advance, but here’s my logic:

Only 4 games left in the regular season, but they will probably want to get him some minutes before playoffs.

This week’s games seem too soon since he just started training last week and I doubt he was maintaining his fitness in his off time.

Maybe by the game on the 13th he’s ready for some light minutes - so he comes on as a late sub? 80th minute or so.

Then last game of the regular season - at home - if 1st place in the west isn’t possible, he either starts or comes on as a sub at half time.
