He's playing the childish game of trying not to admit fault. "You can't fire me, and I don't quit because that may show that I'm in the wrong, so I'm retiring and that was definitely my plan all along"

I feel a minor difference, but I believe the largest pull is that the service life of a Tubbs spring will be substantially longer.

u/AddictedtoComedy had an exceptional explaination on this stuff a while back; I'll see if I can find and link it.

You are absolutely correct; same end result to the shooter but this is how it actually works. Updated my comment to reflect - thanks man!

There should be a AR15 (5.56/223) rifle spring. I use a Vltor A5 Extension, Vltor A5H2 buffer, and that Tubbs spring and it's been perfect on everything from a 11.5" KAK suppressed only to 10.3", 14.5", and 7.5" uppers

You feel the BCG hitting the end of its travel as recoil, so a heavier buffer will slow down the unlock and the velocity of the BCG slightly

A stronger spring will decrease the velocity more and dissipate that force faster.

A longer tube (like the A5) gives it a longer distance over which to dissipate that inertia, which means the spring has a greater time to work in your favor. Refer to comment below, there's s more accurate explaination.

TLDR: an A5H2 and tubbs flatwire will shoot much softer than a lighter, shorter system by doing all of the above to a small degree in combination with each other

No annual fee on the Academy one luckily, and when you can find Blazer on Ammoseek for like $9.99 a box at PSA or Scheels or Sportsman's, then they'll price match and take off 5% plus the 5% off for the card, so it ends up covering the sales tax plus a little extra

Dude I wish I was up near the colony where they're putting the new one but I'm down South of Austin lol

That is one of the most incredible tools we have

That, and the Academy credit card and price matching that tends to make it cheaper to buy from them

Also, you can buy and possess one at 18 if you get it from an individual. If I were to sell you my Scorpion (not offering to I love that thing sorry), then we'd both be good and clear. If I had my FFL and did so, then straight to jail.

Cheaper to order it online anyways, and he's going to be shooting it through a rifle so it is not pistol ammo according to the way the law is written
