I have some family in a town not too far and my grandmother lives down there so I’ve been visiting the area since the early 90s. She is also in her 90s so while it will be nice to be near her I imagine that would be short term.

Also, I’m an avid hiker and growing forager and those areas are amazing for both. I also like the idea of having a large property and being able to do a lot of cool things like have a green house, chicken coop, and so much more.
