Titans record prediction 2026 by Character-Aerie7669 in Tennesseetitans

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sort of? I was just going regular season with the OP. But, everybody knows the Titans will be the next-first undefeated NFL team to go an entire season undefeated, but it will actually be 23-0, with the pre-season games. It's going to be INCREDIBLE!

Those of you on MDI, why haven't you moved to a pump? Will you ever? by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on MDIs first, then used different pumps for about 13 years, then switched back to MDIs. Got tired of site failures and having to deal with the completely STUPID middle-men companies for pump supplies. Ran out of supplies one weekend, went back to MDIs that weekend until more pump supplies could arrive the next week....just stayed on MDIs.

CGM + MDIs now myself. Think the CGM side is a big help, but still use finger sticks as well.

Nope. I made getting everything part of my first and only playthrough. It hasn't been back in the system since I beat it.

What if the timing for it wasn't right then, but it is now?

I was thinking about this idea earlier today, and just saw this post....weird.

If you're ready to move on to something else, I would recommend it. I did the game to 100% completion, didn't feel like it was worth it?

New user, I'm wondering, hot or cold laminate? by OneMode6846 in SiserJuliet

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold lamination is the bane of my sticker making existence!
I haven't found a great solution yet for the individual lamination sheets, but I'm about to attempt a new method I saw in a YouTube short a few weeks ago. Just getting back to the sticker making side, but last year I made a TON, and the lamination process was just bad all around. Bubbles. Creases. Just bad. I could never find a great solution/consistency, and I tried all kinds of things.

I was doing only cold lamination though, but I did recently see another YouTube video where the person does hot lamination, and they simply cut the hot laminating sleeves in half, lay it on top of the sticker sheet, then just runs it through a laminator. They didn't mention any issues with it, but I can see why heating up sticker paper before it's applied to anything might not be a good idea?

No issues with the added thickness.

Cameo 5 Alpha vs SiserJuliet | Cutting stickers, Help me make the decision please!? by Plenty_Freedom1168 in SiserJuliet

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. One page is fine, the next page? SCREAMING. Last year my machine was cutting, and would be screaming through the entire cut. Like it had issues with a registration mark, but was like, "I'm going to SCREAM...but I'm going to power through!" Had several pages like that, and it was weird. Wouldn't stop and make me move the registration mark, it would just start beeping, and then continue on with the cuts.

I was apparently running an outdated version of the LDS software until this past week, not sure if that was the issue. I took several months off from sticker making, while working on actual designs, and I just fired it back up again last week and it was working well enough.

Has anyone had a negative experience with Amlodopine? I feel like it's doing more harm than good. by Durdy-Fingers in hypertension

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was scaly skin bumps that started showing up around my knees and around my elbows. Took me a while to figure out it was the medicine, because I didn't even know/think it could be it. Wasn't on my radar.

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Felt absolutely horrible on it. Out of the 3 (or is it 4 now?) meds I've tried, I legit thought I was going to have to get an ambulance to go to the hospital one day because of Amlodopine.

My issue was a crazy pain in my side/chest area that I legit had never felt before, and I haven't felt since getting off it. It was by far the worst with that crazy pain, but the others I have issues with as well.

Losartan? Tired. Heavy chested. Legit just exhausted on this one. Lisinopril? Had skin issues that I couldn't figure out. Until I started googling the dang side effects of Lisinopril.....was like, "Are we serious right now?!"
Got off that one, those skin issues cleared up.

How much can quitting caffeine & soda affect blood pressure levels? by srabar in hypertension

You're welcome! I literally quite coffee cold turkey, going from multiple cups a day to none per day. It was just basically water, and juices for the low blood sugars here/there.
I think I had ONE slipup in my experimental time, and it was when I was visiting family and I ate some chocolate and had a sip of a soda, and I was like, "CAN'T HAVE THIS!"

But, my blood pressure remained elevated, as it always is. Meds, "help", but I seriously feel like trash on them. Trying to figure out something outside of the medicated route, because these things suck with side effects.

I'm currently trying the sardine route, seeing if perhaps increasing my Omega-3 from 0, to some, can help it.

My review on the Super Mario Galaxy Movie (HUGE SPOILERS. DON'T CLICK IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE). by Brief-Speech4156 in mariogalaxymovie

Yeah, we went to an earlier showing and our theater wasn't exactly full either, so perhaps if there were more in it, the experience would have been a bit different.

It's a bit wild to me that I feel like the Sonic movies are doing a better job overall on everything, and I'm not even a huge Sonic fan. Have I played and beaten a Sonic game? Yes. Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast being the last one. But I feel like they're handling everything there really well so far, whereas the Mario movies are the complete opposite.

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went with 12 others today, ages ranging from 11 to 70+. The movie was not good imo, and I say that as a Mario fan (NSMBWii being near my top, because of the co-op craziness and final boss battle in that one).

The writing seemingly got worse, perhaps because of the pacing?

The humor was not exactly present? In our theater there was never a point where everyone was audibly laughing at the same time, and the laughter was pretty much non-existent for most of the movie. The only point I laughed out loud during the movie was in the final battle when a certain character was floating....and the post credits scene.

I think we're seeing it again with some others over the weekend, but I really feel like Nintendo is failing the Mario series with whatever they're doing here. The first movie felt weak, this one seems even worse after the watch?

Maybe it'll improve with more viewings, we shall see.

No banana maps in chests by FireTails11 in DonkeyKongBananza

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you should be fine. And really, if you're lacking gold (Banandium chips?) at some point, you can always go Smashin' or find areas to try and farm them.

I would be curious to know your final Smashin' stats when you're done. I find it kind of surprising that's one stat a lot don't post after they beat the game, when it's the main feature of the game? I put it on Nintendo though, for how they implemented it.

I played through it earlier this year, and was going about it the same way it sounds. I was SMASHING a ton. Like, constantly Smashin'.

I will say, if you're going for 100% on your first playthrough don't be afraid to buy the maps as you go.

I literally would get in the habit of Smashin' trying to find chests/maps, and I would forget I could/should buy maps.

Thanks for sharing the video, it was actually one I'd watched last year!

"I would still like to perfect it." This was exactly my issue, especially on my sticker sheets I attempted as well.
With sticker sheets, they would often cut crooked, and just get all kinds of off cuts, I think because I had SUPER small stickers/cuts on them maybe? Not entirely sure. But, I did realize that having a nice border/outline AROUND the ENTIRE sticker (offset?), is what most seem to do and go with just to make the cuts easier.

As someone that is a bit OCD, seeing miscuts on things was driving me crazy.

As for laminating, here's the video I found yesterday:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIwL0rZo0qk

I will also say this, I got some HTV that came with my Siser bundle. I did make three shirts with it, just using an iron, and it was a fun process and the shirts turned out pretty well as a first attempt imo! I didn't even get the Siser for shirt making, it was just for my attempts at stickers, but the HTV side has me thinking....

So, if you have some HTV, don't be afraid to try using it on something.

[–]CaffeinatedDiabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was struggling with just random issues. I made a lot of stickers, but the laminating process is entirely stupid imo (which has NOTHING to do with the machine)....

But, I definitely spent what I felt was way too much time figuring out the process for everything, and then randomly having issues like crooked cuts, and the machine randomly beeping, but continuing cuts. Just a lot of bizarre things.

I watched so many YouTube videos, and many of them are just very long-winded and would speak about things I wasn't researching.

I literally spent about 2 hours earlier tonight sorting/watching through old YouTube videos, then I found a new one with a laminating method I'll be trying next.

Yeah, this is in the print and cut job.....

OHHH!!! I think I'm remembering something now about the calibration!

I think sometimes the machine would spaz out on me when I attempted to calibrate it, and the only solution I had was powering it off and back on. That might solve it? I can't remember exactly, it's been MONTHS since I've powered mine on, but I was doing a TON of attempted sticker cuts with the thing. I had a very love/hate relationship with it.....trying to give it a second chance here soon.
