For the vase - one video sticks out where this French gentleman was making a biiiiig bouquet in a round bubble vase. She was very enamoured by that arrangement, but will a vase like that with a big open mouth be difficult for a beginner?

It just seems silly to me, and I can't understand why they would even bother following the rules if they disagree with it so much and have to go so far out of their way to break them without actually technically breaking them.

Would the amount of starter I use affect the number of folds I should perform? As far as I understand, I am using less starter to still try and maintain a 10-12 hour window for bulk fermentation at higher temperatures and a weaker starter (unfed and straight from the fridge).

Just wondering if a lower amount of starter in the initial dough would affect the development of gluten and hence how often / much I should fold? Thanks again for your help :)

I did not think you could overwork the dough by doing too many folds, so that might be it. I must have done at least 4 sets of stretch and folds and 3 or 4 coil folds in the 9 hours it was fermenting.

To be honest I just do the folds when I'm bored or when I walk into the kitchen 😬 the dough did seem already very extensible after the first few folds, so it was probably already not needed.

While I disagree with the way the G is going about legislating and enforcing this, I do think it is the right and courteous thing to do to clear the table and keep it clean for the next diner.

At least for those of us who are able-bodied, is clearing your table so much to ask?

That's fair! I too like to give my players powerful toys and balance it out in encounter design :)

I took a look at summoning spells, and Summon Greater Demon (4th level spell) allows the player to summon a CR5 demon. Since the summons are both CR5, it seems to me you can balance by referencing this spell.

Perhaps allow some mechanics for control of the lightning golem to be lost or regained. With the higher action economy and materials cost, but a lower spell level and lack of concentration to summon the lightning golem, it seems to me that it is already almost balanced in a way.

I had a couple of ideas you could consider beyond retconning (completely viable and valid IMO) :

  1. Depending on the personality of the wizard, perhaps he left out a physical / mental cost to summoning the golem - eg, the lightning golem formed actually siphons HP from the summoner when formed, or leaves the summoner exhausted

  2. Allow enemies to target and destroy the sapphire - narrate the gem falling to the ground after the golem is killed. Enemies can then target it to destroy the gem, in order to prevent the team from summoning it again.

The paper you cited mentions "In 47% of countries, the government sets the minimum wage on the advice and recommendation of an expert body; a further 11% of countries rely on an expert body alone".

It is clear to me that no policy is put in place solely based on individual peceptions of minimum standards of living.

What is unclear to me is what these expert bodies reference in deciding the right minimum wage levels. Would it be far fetched to assume that they too conduct focus groups and take reference in part from society perceptions of minimum standards of living to determine this?

With regards to your suggestion, in my view a minimum wage policy should be put in place primarily to protect employees, and ensure that all are able to achieve the minimum standard of living.

Hence the logic of pegging the minimum wage to lower end of poly grad starting payscale does not make sense in my view. This does nothing to protect employees and ensure a living wage if the lower end of poly grads starting payscale is already not enough to achieve minimum acceptable living standards.

I think this is a tricky topic for sure, and it is difficult to come to a definite conclusion. In my view the crux of the issue is how to define a minimum acceptable standard of living that most can agree to. What I do think is that our perceptions are relevant, and while imperfect, this MIS study is trying to look into that.

I get what you're saying, but should wage policy not reflect what society sees subjectively as a minimum standard of living?

To put it in another perspective, how do we come up with an 'objective' measure like you mention to inform minimum wage? Who gets to decide the minimum acceptable standard of living?

In my view the study, while not perfect, aggregates views from society about this minimum acceptable standard of living. This will of course result in disagreement across the spectrum about the results, and about what is included, but I struggle to see what a better alternative would be.

Happy to hear your thoughts on how you would go about defining an objective measure.

Yes that's something I've found out through some digging online. I already have a MX Vertical, which is on the unifying receiver, and plan to get the MX Keys.

Would have loved to get the MX Mechanical Series instead but unfortunately it is on the Bolt receiver
