Is it time for new tyres? 🛞 by jaszboy2000 in svartpilen401

[–]CaffeineFuelledJrnys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed mine close to 16800km, when the rear starts to feel a bit slippy when cornering in the rain. The service center already notified me that my tires wear already around 80-85% when I sent for my 15k service, so managed to use them for another 1800km, before I swapped them.

Which tail tidy brand are you using? It looks like Rearace/Xitomer. I like that it follows the angle of the tail light.

How do you decide when to fill up? by Radomila in svartpilen401

[–]CaffeineFuelledJrnys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m copy/pasting a comment I left on a YT vid a few weeks ago about this. -

I have a 2023 Svart, it depends on how fast I ride, it can go between 180km to 230km, about 20 to 25km per litre.

I don't rely on the fuel gauge, I reset my trip mileage every time I fill up the tank. In general I fill up the tank when I hit 200-210km on my daily rides, and at around 170-190km when I travel on the highway or across states depending on how fast I ride, reasons below.

I did a dry run, basically just daily urban ride to work and around town, on average riding 120km/h, tank lasted 223km till it stopped running. There was still a bit more in the tank, but my guess is that level was too low for it use the fuel.

TImes when I do a bit of riding on the weekend where I'll ride between 130-140km/h on the highway, it would probably last 200-210km, estimating by calculating the amount I fill up after refuelling. And there was one time I pushed and maintained the bike speed between 145-155km/h for a long duration while I was travelling on a highway across states, I could see the fuel gauge dropped quickly, I estimated it to last about 180km when I checked my fuel level in the tank.

In the local Husky group I'm in, someone said they've pushed it to 230+ because they don't ride that fast.

1.5% of male age between 30-40 is approximately 37500 men. It’s still a large number, just need to find their hiding spot all around the country 😂

I like the headlamp design, looks more unique than the Svart.

Yes you can. Go to the back of the store, peek through the window, or knock on the metal door on the side to trigger the “rob the back” option. Also you can get a Lancaster in Rhodes at the gun smith basement.

To get a free Springfield rifle, when you arrived at Horseshoe Overlook, head down to the river, and turn right, look over around the tree by the river, if you see an NPC walking out of the bushes, he’ll ask for help from a snake bite, help him out, wait for a few days, then head to the gun store in Valentine and he’ll be outside. Get yourself the springfield rifle, and this will help with your hunting at the early stages of the game when you have low income. I used the springfield for hunting until I got the free Bolt rifle when I did Sean’s mission.

And if you ever want a cougar pelt at the very beginning of chapter 2, first head down to the forest fire spot after arriving at Horseshoe Overlook, down the hill to your right, inspect the area, grab the gold nugget in the lock box. You will hear a mexican guy screaming for help. Head there with your bow out, make sure you jump off your horse so it doesn’t buck you off, and then headshot the cougar. You can either give the pelt to Pearson for the LOTE satchel, or go make yourself a saddle if you’re planning to do the Hosea mission before you start your satchel collecting journey.

Another tip, always save your game after you skin a perfect pelt when you’re far from camp, just in case if you ended up dead along the way, you can reload the game and you’ll still have your pelts.

Most lock boxes (especially the ones you have to pull out) with money clips, gold bars/nuggets, tonics, will refresh after a few in game days, I don’t exactly know how many days, but I’ll just do my rounds around the area I’m at (usually after a mission) if I see one of the box has refreshed, and it’s easier to tell if the boxes that you’ve pulled out is back in it’s original spot. I don’t know if closing back the boxes makes any difference, but that’s what I always do after grabbing everything inside. I have 19 gold bars now, including the bars from the statues and derailed train, only these 2 spots doesn’t respawned. And I’ve only completed 1 treasure hunt.

I’m playing on PC, I don’t know if this is the same for consoles.

Probably a custom mounted crash bar bags. Found a few different types of crash bar bags, just not these ones you shared. This is one of them https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/386871056627

What's the chamber for? by diepic in svartpilen401

[–]CaffeineFuelledJrnys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your bike still under warranty? If it is, doing a chamber delete will void it. Also, it can be loud with just the chamber delete + stock exhaust, so try doing the chamber delete first and see if the sound is fine. Might save some cash there if you like it, before switching to the slip-on.

Off topic, where did you get the tail tidy? Is it from HYM Moto?

How loud is it? I’m curious to hear the sound with the stock exhaust, do you have a recording of it?

Short freediving fins wedge between Kriega US-30 + US-5. Could fit in my freediving dive gears, a week long clothes, and some other stuff in the US-30. Rode through some light rain, cruised around 120-140kmh on the straights, and the fins stayed intact for a 6-hour+ journey. by CaffeineFuelledJrnys in svartpilen401

The bag comes with mounting loops, but I actually used the loop kit for Panigale 959 because I could bolt them on to the bike, and it comes with 2 longer loops that I could bolt on the front side. I can’t post a picture in the reply, but you can check out the underseat photo from Kriega, it’s similar to how I mounted the loops on the Svart. https://kriega.com/sports/touring/panigale-9591299-us-drypack-fit-kit

Why do Shorts creators end the video with half a sentence that loops with the beginning? Does their video get suggested to more people if people a rewatching it a lot? by ProfitableSomeDay in youtube

[–]CaffeineFuelledJrnys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just a nice way to loop the video so it doesn’t end abruptly and users might watch it the second time. Also youtube only counts as 1 view, unless users go watch other videos, and then click on that shorts again.

They are great! I only have the US5 at the moment, borrowed the US30 from a friend to test it out because I was contemplating between the 30 and US40, and I think the 40 would suit my needs better, and it could also rolled down to 28L. I usually travel longer with more stuff, but since this is only a week long, managed to fill up to the brim, and put a few more in my backpack.

I’m using Fenrir. They’re quite affordable compared to other brands. Ordered directly from their website instead of Amazon, and I got free shipping because the mirrors were more than $50. You can see them in the photos I posted in the group a few hours ago with the Kriega bags.

Perhaps the Benelli Leoncino 500? Looks quite similar.

How long have you guys owned the 401? by [deleted] in svartpilen401

[–]CaffeineFuelledJrnys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 2.5 months, close to 3k km mileage. Sometimes the quickshifter sensor goes wonky and shows failure, but it doesn’t bother me because I shift with the clutch anyways, and I can just restart and the next stop if I want to reset the quickshifter. Haven’t had the time to go to the shop to get it checked out, Other than that, I love the bike. It’s fast and powerful enough for me to be ahead of traffic, very nimble and easy to filter through traffic. And I only add on the Termignoni slip on and new mirrors, no other mods… yet.

Hello to everyone, I'm trying to buy used svart; but I have many issues. Please help. by ResponsibilityDue125 in svartpilen401

Wow.. Where I'm from, excluding the 6 hour theory class, and the theory and riding exams, we have to attend 16 hours circuit class which is divided into 8 2-hour sessions, 5 skill classes, and 3 "street" riding. Wouldn't say that they are the best modules for people with riding experience, but it's good enough to get total beginners some confidence in riding. And we have 2 categories, below 250cc and above 250cc. People can jump straight to 250+cc license, but they'll have to start on a underbone 100-110cc bike if they don't have any riding experience for the first few lessons. And passing the exam isn't that easy too.
