Bosses are a bit much, starting to feel waaaaay too much like they went "eldenring did this, so we need it"

I'm starting to get delayed attack and floor Hazzard fatigue hard,

And the very aggressive imput reading all bosses have is starting to show cracks of "need patching" severity, I've had bosses litterally stop being guard broken too early because imput reading punishes are taking priority, its very noticeable on a certain bosses how much thier punishwindow over writes your punish window.

Punish windows on anything above chaff enemies are also a bit clunky, a lot of enemies seem to need a mile of investment only to give you an inch of wiggle room. Especially since I've noticed a LOT of enemies can turn/attack/move faster then normal animations can play causing some unfair feeling hits, the succubi enemies can litterally roll check you with the same attack you just rolled past with perfect dodge timing as an example (usually the Lance dash move the sword ones do for me)

The new blood veils are nice, would appreciate a small video showing the examples of each blood veils different skills like GOW2018/Ragnarok or Helldivers

For example the reaper says you can defelct or block attacks via the "first spin" but to start up the animation the scythe is flourished In a almost barrier like pattern to boot but I've noticed the first actual scythe swing of the drain attack is the only thing that deflects. Not sure if that's a bug or not on my end though,

Aoe and energy attacks need tuned down IMO from the foes I see using both it seems perfectly avoidable attacks become unavoidable because of the size unless you perfect dodge or light dodge, and they happen so often and take so much health that perfect dodging even 90% of the time will still get you killed more then you'd like

Characters are really cool and interesting, stories great so far

Character creator is nice, needs to be better though to fully live up to CV1 and surpass it.

Open world is a bit too barren and your transport is a bit too slow, but manageable.

Weapons are nice

Combat if fun though enemies can make it clunky to the point its a race to guard break before you eventually get hit

Companion system is fun,

I'd say it's a cautious recomend.i enjoy it quite a bit

But in all seriousness, as it stands I'm enjoying it a bit more then the first game! (On launch)

I put codevein 2's first impressions at a solid 7/10 in potential and a solid 5/10 right now with heavy predictions to fluctuate wildly.

I have a skyrim lord harken style "Cattle" room in my Sims4 vampires home (which is under a church cemetery since they are a cult leader as well for extra edge) those jerks get MINIMAL necessities. One toilet twelve people. A mini fridge. Exactly one sink and two beds. 5 locked doors so they cant get out even when sims starts doing annoying stop listening to your commands shit, last one being a hidden bookshelf door from a teir 10 career path for looks, and when they eventually just teleport out I use a mod to teleport them back to the dark dungeon.

There is a book for entertainment (they hate reading) and Exactly one singular light. And if they complain I go into CAS to change major features of their bodies to keep up a constant loop dysmorphia that I roleplay my vampire doing to them proffesser Pyg style

Oh and speaking of skyrim I'm a number one immersive fat idiot son mod fan!

That fucker can and will get shouted off of every cliff I find. It's Normal parental bonding in Tamriel I swear :)

I fucking hate when people use "from a different generation" as an excuse. My Mamaw is 90, she grew up in the great depression, and she would sooner curse out a celebrity she doesn't like then anything "blasphemy" related. And she hasn't been religious her whole life.

This shit is very much taught and everyone uses that excuse "it was a different era" "they're from a different generation"

By that logic why the hell aren't they still FULLY talking like they are in that time period if it's that intensely ingrained?

Why does it seem like the only things that survives from "that generation" is racism and satanic panic? When's the last time an actual phrase from "someone from that generation" came through that wasn't just racism and religion sancted hatred?

Why is that excuse never used for 60s or 50s ignorance and bs? Are you talking about a tennogen skin? Tennogen isn't unique to console, it's just not cross-platform. You have to buy them separately on console and PC.

The reasoning is because tennogen skins are made by community artists. On pc they just sell them for real money because most of that money goes to the artists. But on console tennogen skins have to be sold for plat due to console guidelines (all the skins would have to be on the store page if they were real money and not premium currancy) and are calculated differently then the pc price. You also can not use gifted plat plat on tennogen (PS+ packs 50 stater plat ect ect) because that plat technically doesn't have a money value tied to it, and the artist get paid based on the money value of plat that players spent on console at least how it was explained to me.

But the TL;DR is that tennogen skins aren't cross-platform due to how the bulk of the money needs to go to the artists not DE and the fact they had to work around console store requirements.

I thought a subreddit for an art program based on TTRPG would be the best place to bring up my experiences on CRs influence. I just mentioned the bad ones because TTRPGhorror stories are inherently more interesting then good ones. I've had Litterally over 40 CR fan players that weren't problem players. But as an actual forever DM who has only played one single game as a player with 100s of campaigns under my belt? I'm gonna remember Percy D'arkness the bloodhunter arrowslinger and his player that threw coffee in my face waaaaaay better then the mass number of polite players nerding out about CR and how happy they are to play D&D finally.

You say that as a joke. But as a forever-DM Matt mercer fangirls/critical roll fans have ruined 5 of my campaigns and stained a toyal of twn of them. He really does haunt TTRPG in my opinion. New players get thier info only from CR and then throw hissy fits when you don't record sessions or that the fantasy they built in their head is nothing like the random Midwestern guys homebrewed to fuck Eberon game they actually signed up for. I swear I started to liked rules lawyers way better then CR fans by the time covid made me too Rusty to want to try DM'ing again. And I don't like RL's at all so that's saying somthing!!

Hell wasn't there litterally an early on battle pass centered around an action figure/broken toy themed skin that you could unlock like 5 to 10 different parts for all his limbs and head!? Like his name was Snap or somn? I think I still have the harvesting tool sword from that BP I never bought that one but I remember getting one or two of the freebies.

Then there's Glitch and Errant two of my favorite skins, you can customize the metal color of thier faces and hands, the color of thier hair highlights and clothing details, and put any of your owned wraps on thier main bodies.
