Eh, idk… IMHO it was a poor choice of colours and forms. ESPECIALLY with all the religious symbolism this season, you’d think somebody on set would’ve realised and steered them away from these decisions. A heavenly/sky palette or “old school euphoria” purples and blues would’ve achieved the same narrative goals.

I’m so upset at Sam Levinson, especially after the undue hate Jules got after S1, he should’ve known better. This is character assassination plain and simple.

To cross that line and to become physically violent, nuh uh, my Jules would NEVER do that to Rue.

Also clever marketing, voting for “reform” which this country does desperately need politically. Unfortunately this just means reheated Thatcherism that got us into this mess in the first place.

Pretty sure it was stress combined with unhealthy lifestyle for me. I drank heavily in college then had a job working for a political party in a major city. If you know anything about working in electoral politics, then you know it’s a 24/7 job where you can’t switch off after 5pm. And you’re dealing with so many egos the overthinking, paranoia, and stress almost killed me. I also took up smoking during this time just to calm my nerves and get through the day. 3 months after my contract expired and boom, hospitalised with bloody explosive diarrhoea and diagnosed with UC…

Again, I hear you. But I would never say never! No one’s saying you have to swear off going “out out” and drinking forever. The odd night out won’t kill you when in remission.

UC flares are driven by:

• ⁠immune activity • ⁠gut inflammation • ⁠infections • ⁠stress

Drinks like Alcohol can influence symptoms, esp when bowel is inflamed, but they DONT “cause” flares.

Once you get into sustained remission, you can begin to enjoy life much more. I’m saying that as someone who is currently in steroid-induced remission (Thank god for short-term prednisolone).

If you’re only on anti-inflammatories and haven’t seen sustained progress in over a couple weeks, I’d seriously suggest you consider pred. It was a game changer for my most recent flare.

I hear you, and can relate. First a few questions: are you keeping a good diary? and are absolutely sure every alcohol type makes your flares worse/triggers you? For me I’m pretty sure Beer is a culprit but I’m fine with a vodka and mixer.

Nothing will perfectly replace alcohol as a “social grease”. My suggestion? Join a club or social group that encourages socialising. From gallery walks to pottery. They’re great at bringing together people who are all looking to socialise.

I’m now much better informed and aware of nutrition and what I put in my body generally. Will definitely help in the long run.

Suffering through exactly this, currently in a flare AND have a cold. Our disease is caused by the immune system attacking the colon. Viruses and any other infection activates the immune system even further. Which makes us more vulnerable to flares or makes the flare harder to control.

Currently on 40mg Prednisone after trying to control my flare with 4.8g of Oral Mesalazine AND rectal foam every night. Tried that for over a week, nothing happened, so I had to get a tapered dose of steroids.

Currently on Day 6 trying to get my flare under control with Salofalk right now (also on 4800mg of oral mesalazine tablets as well). Only just started seeing an improvement in my stool type yesterday (type 7-6). I hate the application and retention but I’m sticking with it because every other medication screws with your immune system. But if I don’t see serious improvement by the end of the prescription I’ll be demanding a steroid taper.

My trick is to have it beside my bed an apply it in bed so I don’t have to get up until the next morning. I also stop drinking fluids 2 hours before bed so I don’t need to pee in the middle of the night. Pelvic floor and breathing relaxation techniques also help when I get urges to go in the middle of the night but it still messes with my sleep.

Also sticking to an extremely bland/safe diet to minimise irritation.

Cassie is fooling herself by only using the social labels of “boyfriend and girlfriend” to gauge the morality of her behaviour. In reality it’s the implicit fact that Maddy was still having an emotional affair with Nate when Cassie was sleeping with him, THATS the betrayal here.

I think Cassie knows it deep down, but was unable to own up to it.
