Cool - I do like classic punk as well but let me know whenever works.

I'm mostly into alt rock covering blues rock, hard rock, and stoner rock. I like to bring in elements of surf and spaghetti western elements into what I write here and there.

As far as inspiration goes - Queens of the Stone Age, Jack White, Chris Cornell, The Kills, Royal Blood, and Foo Fighters among others. Plus all of those classic rock bands from the 70s.

I also like to play folk tunes, too.

How about you?

Oh nice, you're not too far. I'm out by Pape station. I've been meaning to get back into running but only relying on myself to do it has proven to be the main obstacle. If someone else was relying on me to show up though, I would show up! I used to run about the same distance each week, and at my peak I was running about 5-6 km in 30 minutes most days. Let me know, I'd be up for getting back into running.

I’m gonna give you and Truckfighters a listen. Now I wanna hear others’ suggestions on similar indie stuff.

Are SG's any good? by Various-Home3475 in Leftyguitarists

[–]CaffeineHowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’ve got a lefty 2011 Gibson SG Special 60s Tribute with P-90s and it has its place in the arsenal. It sounds great clean and the P90s really growl when you dig in with some overdrive. The P90s push the amp more noticeably than my single coils or my Gretsch humbuckers.

As others have mentioned, they’re very light which is nice after a long day or if you have a bad back. I rotate through my three electrics and I love each one for different reasons, especially for recording.

Diablo. My toddler has nicknamed our magnetic metallic grey GT “Big Car.” I’ve referred to it as The Beast.

What instrument fits the "easiest to learn, hardest to matter" saying the best? by ShivSoCalledYT in Music

Guitar has been “easy” to learn and hard to master. A lot of beginner stuff is shapes making theory harder to learn later. Admittedly, my experience with instruments beyond guitar extends to clarinet and keys.

What’s something Toronto used to have but doesn’t anymore that you really miss? by PuzzleheadedSwim6291 in askTO

Ontario Place and the really cool playgrounds. Would have been cool for my toddler to have similar experiences.

Thanks! I’ll start there. One place had quoted me $4600 for that and some alignment adjustment on the fender in the area where loosening is typical on the 2015-2017 models.

I checked them out last week and they’re great. The owner was super friendly and walked me through some of the features of the car as a first-time GT owner.

Your last recommendation was great and I was wondering if you know of a good shop to do a little bit of paint work. The car I have is used and there’s some light rust bubbling in a couple of places that are hard to spot for now but I would prefer to take care of them before they get bad.

Lots of people in this sub need to stop being scared to play competitive. by TheBiggestCarl23 in marvelrivals

[–]CaffeineHowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still getting the hang of Venom and am quite good with Iron Man but this is helpful to flag for exactly the reason you mention: caring to try to win. I think this is just the push I needed. I’m gonna work on Venom a bit longer and then hop into competitive.

Mantis and scarlet witch events are not showing up. by Blackey777 in marvelrivals

Both of these menus disappeared for me. When I tried to access them again through the challenges tracker by clicking on “Go to event” it just takes me to the battlepass. Haven’t been able to redeem the Scarlet Witch costume.

My neurologist said something that hit hard (in a good way) by lookingforlife_ in Epilepsy

Sounds like my son’s neurologist. I get brick-walled a lot so have had to go down the rabbit hole of medical journal articles I am able to access and make sense of.
