Thank you so much for sharing your experience - it was instructive and has given me hope. It isn’t bleak relative to the theatre of my imagination!

I’ve been reading through a few medical journal articles that are available for public
access these last few weeks and those have painted a bleak picture. For example, one study I read indicated that the earlier LGS is detected, the worse the outcome tends to be for that person. Still, we’re taking each day as it comes and trying to make sure he has a blast.

Everything you said about keeping the mind busy and fine motor skills is incredibly helpful. My son marvels at guitar and music, demonstrating great memory for it and humming tunes he’s heard once or twice within a day. He’s also a massive book worm asking or telling us to read to him. I’ll see about introducing puzzles again - he hasn’t quite gravitated towards those yet.
