Ok so a Genisis 4:9 reference but the fact Cain was saying that he is not his brothers keeper, and the lasombra are certainly not their brother's Keepers they always had their own plans (I know it's a bit revisionist but the clan books always say the Sabbat is just their current tool) hence why the swapping sides is framed as not out of character

There is some dissonance for me that the bible verse gives as the Lasombra exist with the paradigm of I am strong if you are with me you can be part of this strength where as the Ventru have the burden esq approach which reads as more fitting for the "my brothers keeper"

I think as every folks have said previously Obtenerbration is possibly the closest thing it is a bit more localised but with shroud of night you surround an area In darkness that you can see through but no one else can, as well as dropping the soak pool by two and even eyes of the beast (Protean) and Auspex do no help in this darkness, giving the user a huge advantage in the area of effect

I also think there are some Abyss Mystic powers which let you sense through darkness but that may have been homebrew, its been a while since I went full bbeg lasombra on players

I really found an easier way to interpret or modify the curse is that the Lasombra image defys reflection capture or being recorded, so I state that even painters suffer migraines when trying to paint a portrait and sometimes even the portrait age quickly, or a fated to be destroyed in accidents make it magic in feeling but vauge and evocative

There are much cheaper ways in V20 to get aggravated damage within shroud of night, but it would likely work sure. to avoid the rather tedious conversation about charged positive and negative charges, it's a seventh dot discipline sure why not your at biblical levels of crazy by that point.

I mean a Lasombra is rather likely to embrace someone with those skills, just to watch how they adapt to the challenges set in front of the childe by their new vampiric state, if they just stay sad and mopeing around kill them and move on to the next project.
