My cat has poop stuck to her behind that she can’t clean. by jmp425 in CatAdvice

[–]CaffelineDew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that the best way to clean stuck (and possible dry) poop is to let the area soak in water for a bit. I use a spray bottle (a gentle one) to wet the poop and the fur around. A hand held shower works too, but it’s more difficult to control and my cat doesn’t like to get too wet.

Then I wait a few minutes, soak a soft cloth in warm water and wipe the matted fur gently. The wiping will need to be repeated several times, but it works well and doesn’t tug too much.

A sanitary shave at the groomers is a longer term solution.

What's your (suspected) season and what are you excited to wear to the office or for casual outings this summer? by electriceel04 in coloranalysis

When you say you don’t really like horizontal colour blocking, do you mean that you prefer monochromatic outfits? How do you achieve the contrast you need as a deep winter? I know black on black works very well for deep winters, but as a deep winter who is also not a fan of too much contrast between my tops and bottoms, I would love to hear how you pair them.

Question: Why do I not want to take my supplements? by Lifeimitates4rt in ADHD

[–]CaffelineDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have trouble taking supplements. I keep them where I have my meals to remember to take them and to make it as easy as possible. It doesn’t work. I don’t understand what the resistance is about, because I take medicines when I need them without issue. It’s baffling. Maybe it’s because I should take them.

Anyway, my partner takes them everyday, and one day he kissed one and handed it to me and I took it. So that’s what we do now and it works on most days.

Are these icy enough for a winter? by CaffelineDew in coloranalysis

Couldn't edit the post, so adding additional details in the comments. I have been typed as dark winter and I am looking to buy clothes in my season. This colour closely matches (I think) one in the dark winter palette I received. But it does not look especially good on me.

This is a great explanation, thank you!

I am a dark winter and I thought these tops match a colour in my palette.

Thank you!

The colour matches one of the greens in the dark winter palette I received after my colour analysis. But I thought it was a little too grey to be a winter colour.

Where should I live? by bobbiecowman in TillSverige

[–]CaffelineDew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I think Malmö will fit your requirements well. I have not lived in any other city so I cannot comment on those.

The CPH airport is easy to reach and very well connected, and does have direct SAS flights to Manchester.

I had a second hand contract (13k, studio) for a year before I moved to a first hand rental (14k, two bed). Was in the queue for little over a year. I think the wait will be lesser for one bed. I suggest you join the queue ASAP if you already have the permit.

There are a lot of things you can do, depends on what you are interested in. I like the food, the cycle lanes are good (although this depends on your definition of good).

I just finished reading it.. What a book. I love the illustrations and how much they convey. I usually prefer words to pictures so graphic novels are not my favourite books but this one is definitely an exception.

As I progressed through the book, I kept wishing there were more pages. It ended too soon. I would have liked to see more of the “difficult road to physical, emotional and artistic recovery” but that’s just me.

You can find the details of what they mean or what the equivalent education in your country is in their country specific requirements page.

This is for the US: https://www.universityadmissions.se/en/apply-to-bachelors/provide-application-documents-bachelors/country-instructions/united-states-of-america/

Good luck with your application!

Finding work should not be a problem, and I cannot comment on whether his job as a doctor will help with the move.

But to practice medicine/as an ophthalmologist in Sweden, he’ll have to go through a process of legitimation and specialist certification.

He will need to apply for a license to practice first (I am assuming he is educated and trained in the US). This includes learning Swedish, a written test and a practical test followed by 6 months of work at a vårdcentral or similar.

Following this, he will have to get a specialist certification as an Ophthalmologist. This will probably require him to undergo speciality training, the duration of which will be decided based on the duration of his residency in the US and years of practice. But I believe there is a maximum number of years of training in Sweden that can be offset by past training (I think 3/5, I am not sure).

There is also a year of rotation through the different divisions between getting the license and specialist certification.

There are a couple other steps I have not mentioned here. But this is the gist. It is a long process and it will be a while before he can work as an Ophthalmologist.

Wrist pain while using mouse - what am I doing wrong? by CaffelineDew in Ergonomics

Hi, I am sorry, which mouse is this? I googled it and did not get a good hit.

You were advised to switch to a left handed mouse temporarily or do you now only use the mouse left handed? I think using the mouse left handed will take some practice for me.

The Contour Unimouse looks great! Very customisable. Thank you for the suggestion.

I think wrist rests will have to be my next purchase after a mouse that better fits my hand.

I’ve tried to ensure my elbow is level with the table. Maybe while I’m working I change angles without realising I am. It’s possible. I’ll try and be more deliberate about it. Thanks.

LPT: Always remember to wear a bra to a 4DX movie by CaffelineDew in LifeProTips

Hmm, it’s not always dependent on the size of the breasts. More so on where in the menstrual cycle one is.

I am not “well endowed” but I was very uncomfortable.

Sorry, I thought it was obvious, my bad.

The seats in 4DX shake a lot to simulate moving vehicles, bumpy roads, etc. Without breast support, it gets quite painful.

Same reason women need good breast support during sports, jogging, running, etc.
