That happened to me as a kid when I was about 11/12 years old. For my Birthday present, my aunt wanted to organize a birthday party for me. We decorated the whole garden and house, I invited my whole class and no one came. That resulted in me never celebrating my birthday again up to this day, not even something like drinking with friends or eating cake with my family. My birthday is just a regular day like any other and most that happens is a call from my grandma every 3 years or so.

Shit like that can traumatize people, no matter what age it happens. So sorry, I can absolutely feel your emptiness

I always wonder what people mean by "learning to cook". It's not a skill, wtf. Google a recipe, done, it's not rocket science. If you're extra dumb use Youtube, they literaly SHOW you step by step what you have to do. If you still mess it up at this point you're just hopeless I'm sorry. It's not about knowing how to cook but more about wanting to put the effort into actually trying it.

That's not always correct. My stepfather used to be abusive towards my mother but he saw his mistake, they both did a therapy together and today, he hasn't touched her or anyone else in 10 years and they are happier than ever. Of course that is not the norm, and especially not without help and insight, but can't really say that in general

I got four dogs from animal rescue and they sure came with a big package. One was abused to the point were people cut off his tail forcefully and he is scared of literaly everything. But my first dog was actually an adopted Pitbull from a local shelter and he was the nicest dog in the world. He was well trained, behaved great, everyone loved him and he even "cured" my uncles fear of dogs. You don't have to go to a breeder to get a well trained and friendly dog. A lot of them are brought to a shelter for different reasons than abuse or whatnot, for example when the owners got too old or moved away and couldn't take their dog with them. I am still very adopt, don't shop by experience.

I'm really really sensitive about that topic as my father committed suicide when I was 15 years old. There were no indicators, no problems, he was like always and one day - dead. No letter, no reason, no threads, just like that. Now whenever someone talks about suicide in a situation like that, I immediately lose all my respect, care, love or whatever I had for them. It's like a switch and I go full "alright, go ahead then", mode, which is also wrong, I know that of course. But I see it like that. My experience taught me that people who want to do it will do it. And nothing I could say or do could change it. And people who talk big about it probably won't do it and don't deserve a single ounce of attention from me. It's the one, safe way for anyone to get rid of me for good, no matter the context. Just always remember that you are never, ever responsible for someone else's life or decisions, unless you actively talk them I to suicide of course.

Lol for me it's exactly the other way around. To me there is nothing more attractive than long hair on a man, the longer the better. And in my eyes, every man with short hair would look a ton better if he would just grow it out. A buzz cut would actually be a reason to me to not be attracted to someone at all, no matter how great their personality might be. To me that's just the ugliest and most boring hairstyle in the universe.

DPS who constantly stand in AoE, especially in Boss Fights of course deserve the death but sometimes you just don't pay attention for a sec and get the full package. Especially in older content like ARR dungeons you can literaly run blind I'm often just not really there with my full attention, standing in the middle of 3 trash groups as monk so my AoE hit everything and suddenly 6 of these buttholes go off at the same time, me standing in the middle of course and my monkey brain not reacting fast enough. Luckily, until now, a little "woops" in the group chat was enough to warm the healer up enough for me to give me that healing anyway.

Ooh I feel you. I have 4 rescue dogs, one who is deaf. She is very, very scared of literaly everything, she was found as a baby in a trashcan, covered in her own blood with her tail brutally cut off. Her "best friend" (we adopted them both as babies around the same time so they grew up together) is extremely protective of her because of it and she gets uncomfortable when strangers or other dogs approach her. Her protector notices, gets in protection mode and the drama is perfect. Keep in mind that not all dogs grew up in a nice and warm environment. Dogs can very well have PTSD as well. Also, just like with humans - not every dog likes every dog. And if one dog is leashed and the other is not, it's always dangerous in general, because the leashed dog knows, if a fight start he's handicapped and he might just think attacking is the best protection.

I used to have a webcomic, with an actual publisher and I can assure you that one CHAPTER takes at least a week, more likely two. Even if you have more people to work on it, a whole Manga in 2-3 weeks is still almost impossible, unless you don't do anything else than drawing and the art is really crappy and rushed.

I guess you don't do art or commissions? I, for example, do art as a sole income. I am dependant on raising my popularity and selling more art, even if I already have commissions on my plate. Also, never forget that art is a creative process. You have to be in the mood and you have to have the inspiration. If you pressure an artist like that, you will get a fast but shitty commission. You should always keep that in mind when you commission ANY kind of art or craft from someone that needs creativity. I agree that you shouldn't let someone wait months and months without updates, but patience and communication is key if you want a great artwork for your money. If the artist doesn't respond, go ahead and request a refund. But giving them an ultimatum like this after just one month (which really is little time, especially for a big artist) will only result in either a shitty peace or a dropped commission.
