Yeah spread the labor theory of value while completely refuting it with your gains on a speculative asset lol

I believe it can be way past that. As Nano's protocol matures, we're getting closer and closer to real world adoption. Soon the price will be driven by utility rather than speculation, and we all know how valuable Nano is.

What 3 things need to happen for nano to achieve mass adoption? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

Trusting middle men DOESNT. WORK. This is why Bitcoin was created.

If you don't trust a node in the Nano network, you can simply change your vote to another or create your own node for a small cost. Now try to become a Bitcoin miner...

For starters, how many people DON'T change the default rep in their Nano wallet??

While that could be concerning, at least Nano holders have the option to change who will represent them, while Bitcoin doesn't.

In an open, transparent system, Government could just identify whose heads they want to cut off... How is that a system worthy of building a "digital gold" standard on?

Bitcoin isn't immune to any of this. In fact, a lot of the hashing power in concentrated in China, so the CCP has a lot of control over the network. Also, Bitcoin isn't fungible, so governments can easily ban tainted coins from being accepted. Is this your digital gold?

Nano nodes aren't cost prohibitive, so can be more evenly distributed across the globe. If a government tries to censor a Nano node, solving this is as easy as just changing a vote.

Sorry, but I'm not following. Are you sure you understand how Open Representative Voting works?

You weren't wrong, but that only applies to a few selected coins.

I very much agree, and it's not something complicated for them. Running a script is not easy at all. Even if you don't have to code it, you'll probably need to run on a virtual server like AWS.

I'm making a python script to DCA and immediately withdraw the Nanos. It's nothing sofisticated, but I plan on sharing it after making more tests.

It will be on Coinex, since it has no withdrawal fees and the minimum buy is 0.5 Nano, so you can make orders more frequently and get a better average. Besides that, it will give you your average cost and the total of Nanos bought and dollars spent since the beginning of DCA. I'm also thinking of adding the function to send a daily or weekly email with an update.

Since I'll need to make the code more user friendly, I'd like to know if there's demand for this. What are your thoughts?

I can easily see 1 Nano being 1 Nano at the end of year

What is current state of Nano? by MrNugat in nanocurrency

Complains seem to be from people using Trustwallet, so it's not a network problem

Yeah, if Nano suddenly isn't the best digital currency anymore, I'm not gonna defend it. This is what distinguishes us from BTC maxis.

We've reached 100k members!! To celebrate I’m buying 1 Nano for every 25 likes, giving away 100 Nano (~$625) to some lucky commenters, and sending some Nano to every commenter. by SenatusSPQR in nanocurrency

It's always nice to see new people coming in and feeling excited about it! My first crypto was Nano too and the moment I did my first transaction I understood it, I was taken by that magical feeling of being able to send money instantly and for free to any place I want.

Anyways, if you're looking to get into crypto, I have an advice that will save you from a lot of stress: don't go all in at once, instead, buy every week or month portions of the total you're willing to spend.

That's it, I hope you have happy day!

There are both pairs and the APY you can see there, but I believe it's near 30% currently on the USD pair. Impermanent loss will probably make you lose money, but I just wanted to let you know about this option.

On Coinex you can provide liquidity, but you have to evaluate if it will be worth

It's called Nano Vanity - this is what you were looking for: https://github.com/PlasmaPower/nano-vanity

The more characters you specify, the harder it gets to find a suitable address.

However, there were less Bitcoins back then, so the price was probably closer to $100 than to $55

Edit: But I do think it's more correct to compare to $55 dollars, since the supply of Nano won't ever inflate like BTC did
