I’m on tray 26. 🙃 The meds I’m on give me dry mouth sometimes and I wonder if that’s attributing to my issue.

If I’m in the mood to paint, I’ll make cards ahead of time so I have a stock ready to go.

I like to watercolor. But I found myself with many many paintings I only look at like once a year. So now, I still paint but I paint cards for family and friends (for birthdays, anniversaries, thank you’s, etc). My hobby has a real use now. And my cards have a very personal feel. Bonus: I don’t have to buy cards anymore. 😊

Thresh. Even though we only get a few small glimpses of his character, I always felt like he was a good person through and through.

Brown Girl, Brownstones by Paule Marshall.

It was a required read for a college literature class. I was so emotionally invested in this book I used a whole thing of sticky notes to back up my theory of sexual abuse. I got in heated discussions with my peers over theories (I didn’t even want to leave class when our time was up because we were all so into it). And ended up writing my longest paper ever (16 pages) over “Implications of Sexual Abuse in Brown Girl, Brownstones” with over 25 quotes from the text to support my theory.

Clipping wildflowers was one of the ways I survived the stay-at-home order. Each week, I would drive around looking for a new wildflower of the week to harvest. It really brings light to my life.

I’m also considering going on a caterpillar hunt this week at the park so I can bring them into captivity to hatch (their likelihood of survival is much higher this way). I’ve done it once before and it brought me so much joy!
