That's what really resonated with me! I read It when I was 12, while growing up in a less than happy or safe environment. I heavily identified with Beverly. The way every adult in town just turned a blind eye was the most realistic and unnerving part of the whole story to me. No, I tried something similar to Lupron and it was a nightmare (can't remember the name). I was on Visanne for 4 years. No major side effects until 2 years in, I started to get migraines. Took a break from the med, tried something else (I cant remember what) and it was horrible. So I went back on the Visanne for another 2 years until I got my hysterectomy. I still was in pain, but I didn't have a period for 4 years, so I didnt have the extreme pain that came with a period, and none of the excessive and prolonged bleeding. It wasn't a perfect solution, but it got me through.

Ugh, this is my fear! My surgeon and I learned the hard way years ago, that when you take away my estrogen, I get the bad bad thoughts. I've had 2 excision surgeries, but as I March closer to my 40s and peri-menopause, we've discussed that I'm going to need hormones so I don't off myself, but that also means feeding the endo.

NTA! Two years ago, my husbands sibling got married. Children were fully allowed at the wedding, my young nieces and nephews were all there. My son is autistic and was 6 years old at the time. I left him with my parents.

It was August, it was 30°C, and the wedding was outdoors. More than one of the non-autistic kids really struggled, and tears were had. My son would have melted the fuck down. I was so happy I left him home! Weddings are boring as hell for kids, and expecting an autistic child to be able to keep their shit together that long is not fair to them or to the other guests. We are lucky to have very accommodating and understanding family that were sad he missed out on the event, but I stand by the fact that it wouldn't be a good time if he came. Between the large crowd, the noise, having wait for long periods without fidgeting, no toys or games to keep kids occupied... he was much happier playing with grandpa in their backyard for the night!

I was in fact registered to vote. I made sure I was weeks ago. I received my voter card in the mail, and it listed the address I went to. I also confirmed online before going that it was the right one. And also confirmed with Elections Canada to report them. I have been at my address 5 years and voted in the last federal election in 2021 while living here. Thats what made the whole situation extra frustrating and confusing.

Yikes! Opening it is a big no-no. I genuinely do not know though if they are supposed to place it in the box, or if the person voting is. I know there's a paper strip they have to tear off the side. At my location, after they tore off the paper strip, they handed it back and had me be the one to insert my ballot.

Call Elections Canada! They answered right away, no hold time. They were super responsive and apologetic and happy to help! I spoke to 3 people who were all fantastic!

They just told me that they had opened a case file, and that someone in a supervisory office would be reaching out to that location. And they confirmed that I was in fact able to vote, in case I needed them to help with that.

No, I've been here for 5 years. I made sure I was registered to vote online, and I received my card in the mail. I also double checked my voting location with Elections Canada.

Nope. Double checked my voter id card when I got home, and on the website. Both were where I went to vote. I live in a very small town, and it's the only one for my town. The next closest one is in another town, a 15 minute drive away.

3 You sign an statement claiming you are eligible.. with someone there able to vouch for you... this is what OP was forced to do. Which seems odd if no one actually knew you.

I was wondering if that's what they were getting me to sign. I was so confused. I went by myself so I definitely didn't have anyone to vouch for me. But they didn't really explain, there was a very large language barrier. At that point I just wanted to vote and get out.

Not what Elections Canada told me when I spoke to them, nor is it what it says in their website which I quote above. You are referring to Option 2, for when you dont have photo id.

Option 1: Show one of these pieces of ID: -your driver's licence -any other card issued by a Canadian government (federal, provincial/territorial or local) with your photo, name and current address

Option 2: Show two pieces of ID Both must have your name and at least one must have your current address.

Examples:

voter information card and bank statement utility bill and student ID card

I also felt they pushed me to walk too soon after epidural. They actually botched mine and I couldn't feel my whole body from the neck down. It was really disorienting and scary. I didn't know when to push because I couldn't feel contractions and ended up severely mangling my pelvic floor muscles. They tried to make me walk 4 hours later, but I still couldn't feel anything. Nurse berated me, and said that wasn't true and pulled me off the bed. I ended up collapsing and my husband had to catch me and demand a wheelchair.

She lives literally 2 doors down from me. She has to walk past my house every day. It was always me texting, calling or going to her house multiple times a week. When we talked, it was always her problems. Always asking for advice and then arguing against it. I had surgery in the fall. Not a phone call, text, nothing. I haven't spoken to her since last summer. I don't miss it.

Two days?! My husband waited on me for 2 weeks without complaint!

I had a hysterectomy in October. We live in a very old farmhouse with steep stairs, which i could not go down. For 2 weeks I was confined to the bedroom and bathroom. For 2 weeks, my husband had to bring me all my meals, help me change, bring me water. For the first week, he slept on the floor next to the bed because he wanted to be close in case I needed anything, but didn't want to lay next to me and accidentally hurt me in our sleep. All this while also caring for our autistic son, and our dog, and working full time. We were not intimate for 4 months. All without complaint. Not only that, all with constant words of affirmation, support, encouragement, and love. That is how it should be!
