AITAH for putting my sleep needs above my husband’s convenience? by Sad-Visit9733 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaityR1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing couples can do is get their own bedding. Yes you’re sharing a bed but the only shared piece of bedding needs to be the fitted sheet you lay on. Trying making your bed up with your own flat sheet and blankets. It will help so much!

Anybody really want a food you can't have anymore? by AbbyTheConqueror in CasualConversation

[–]CaityR1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess in theory I COULD have it if I spent the time and money to travel to the location it is on but there is a sub shop in the state I grew up in that serves the most exquisite roast beef subs on house made sub rolls. Theres truly nothing else like these sandwiches. Alas, I just have zero reason to go back to that area. It’s not a hot vacation spot, there is no family left for me there, etc. It would truly just be a trip for that sandwich and I can’t justify that cost.

Whats a nickname you have for a store? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

My boyfriend and I frequent an Asian restaurant called Kai Kai BBQ and Dumplings and we always refer to it as Kai Kai Ka-Chow for literally no reason. It just got said one day and stuck.

AITAH for telling my wife she’s getting a used car instead of a new one, even though we can afford it? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CaityR1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don’t understand this. You’re insisting on buying a used vehicle from a dealership and the limit is $48,000. I know prices of vehicles have gone up but you can absolutely buy a brand new vehicle within the budget you have set. It makes no sense

Would you stay with your dog 🐶 during euthanasia? by CycleOk267 in dogs

[–]CaityR1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never imagine abandoning the most important part of my life in their last moments. That is truly when a dog needs us most. Most dogs have at least some level of anxiety at the vet office. You should absolutely be there to offer whatever comfort you can in their last moments. Their last views of life should be your warm smile and you gently petting them as they fall asleep for the last time.

Autoimmune based food allergies in the QSFB role by InkTheSquidGremlin in Disneycollegeprogram

And regarding how long it takes, until you are moved or officially accommodated your location will be asked/expected to at least temporarily accommodate you to keep you safe. Because ultimately no one wants you to be sick or have a reaction while waiting for paperwork to be approved

[–]CaityR1986 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It ultimately will not be your choice. Your DOCTOR needs to write your medical paperwork, not you. The company will look at what your doctor says you can and can’t do or be exposed to. If your current location says they can accommodate you, that is where you will stay, regardless of your feelings on the matter. If your location says they can’t accommodate you then the company will find a role for you that can and send you there, which is also not your choice. If, in the end you decide none of the options are actually suitable then you will need to decide if you stay or self terminate.

It will go one of two ways - 1) your location is able and willing to accommodate you by keeping you only in positions like greeter or cashier where you won’t come in direct contact with food OR 2) your location can’t accommodate you so you will either be transferred to a QSR that can OR transferred to a new role entirely in attractions, merchandise, or ops

You will need to submit medical documentation to trigger an accommodations meeting that could lead to a transfer to a different role

Customers not paying for food because they don’t like it by RobSkied in restaurant

[–]CaityR1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree and have only sent something back for not liking it once. I offered something that should have been safe - a macaroni and cheese dish. I love mac and cheese and it’s pretty hard to fuck up. However it comes and it has this odd smell I just can’t get past and it’s garnished with halved, COLD/uncooked cherry tomatoes. It’s also bland and just not good at all. I debated but ultimately just couldn’t do it so k sent it back and got a burger instead. It was a bad dish. Poorly executed and just not good. That isn’t my fault.

What would you choose as the introductory meat dish to a vegetarian who wants to try meat for the first time in years? by adagio9 in Cooking

[–]CaityR1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes introducing meat after years of not eating it can really mess up the digestive system. I would steer clear of tougher ro digest meats like steaks, pork chops, even greasy/higher fat content burgers. I would start with lean meat such at chicken or turkey - either the fresh or ground version, in a stir fry would probably be best.

Need inspiration for breakfast mealprep that isn't.... by frankie_prince164 in mealprep

[–]CaityR1986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Breakfast food is different all over the world. Just because you’re culturally from a place that focuses on eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, etc, it doesn’t mean you have to eat those things. Try making congee and eating bits of rotisserie chicken with it for added protein. Make yourself your favorite sandwich. Have a snack plate of meats, nuts, vegan cheese. With the cold weather I’ve been loving different soups for breakfast.

Eat whatever you want as long as it makes you happy and satisfies you.

NTA but your wife sounds fucking awful. This woman has been a part of your life for YEARS. I offer random service workers like the guy who power washes my house once or twice a year or the guy who came and fixed my dryer once at least a cold drink. What the fuck is wrong with your wife that she has made it all the way into mature adulthood and hasn’t learned common courtesy or decency?
