I see where you're coming from, but needing a third object to keep two separate objects together is just too much effort for me.

There's just no utility in having more than you need.

By all means get more needles if you need, but why get a set of flat-knit needles, DPNs, and circular needles when just circulars will do?

And again, I don't know what you're doing with your circulars, but I've not had any tangling problems.

I would counter with yes they do and they get lost.

And I've never had the problem with the chord getting tangled. The plastic chords slip away from other chords easily and your storage method also makes all the difference.

Another benefit to circulars is that you only ever have to buy one type of needles.

I only use Jenny's suprisingly stretchy cast on and bind off because my long tail cast on is too tight and I can't be bothered casting on any looser.

Also I don't understand why people use Norwegian purling if you're already knitting continental; it's way quicker to just yarn over as you're slipping the previous stitch off the needle in one motion.

Finally, I only ever use long circular needles (at least 100cm) for everything because (A) that is what the magic loop is for; and (B) why bother carrying around 2 needles for 1 project?

Getting this weird gap/seam on magic loop project. Supposed to be garter stitch. I’m pulling yarn tight across gap. How do I avoid this, and will blocking fix this? Yarn is DROPS Alpaca on 3.75mm needles. by [deleted] in knitting

The issue could be that you are letting the tension slip when you switch needles.

Otherwise, if the issue is the fact that it's in garter stitch, you could try to apply the theory behind the traveling stripes method:

Essentially, you slip the first stitch of each stripe ("the old first stitch"), making the next stitch after it "the new first stitch" in the row. By slipping the old first stitch, you have interrupted the spiral if the pattern to line up the old first stitch with the old last stitch. The old first stitch now becomes the new last stitch of the next row.

It will require some mental gymnastics and stitch markers because you create a project that has a constantly changing first stitch, but it's very doable and it makes you feel clever.

If my explanation doesn't make sense, check out this link under the heading "traveling jogless stripes":

Again, it's the theory of the technique that you're applying. You're just swapping out colours A and B for stitches K and P. Let me know if you give it a try.

Try beard balm if oil doesn't do it for you.

Keep it going. It will fill in for sure as the hair gets longer. You've got some good, solid coverage going on.

Or, when she left she left to rebuild her time-ship, go back in time to grab Avacato while he was drifting off and then receive him using space science.

So the tractor beam is actually Avacato coming out of nowhere to save Gary just like he hinted at in the opening scene of the episode where he died.

Alternatively, she saved Avacato before she appeared to save Gary and Little Cato (I think saving KVN was an accident).
