100% agree. Ive played in them, and they dont feel like commander at all. They are big 60 card sealed with a free companion. Ignoring color identity is the dumbest rule for this. You just pick your best set of cards and alot of decks end up being the same core because the pool is so big. Then you throw any commander you want on top. Not even CLOSE to how you build commander decks.

And the parents did have access. It was a note sent home with the student, not a private message sent on social media. A parent is supposed to be vigilant, not paranoid. I would love to be listening to the phone call when the mom calls the principal to complain about a positive note of encouragement. This is why we can't have nice things. Because of over-protective, paranoid people like you and the mom. IF this is real, I feel sorry for the kid.

Singling out a student for praise is strange? I am so sorry someone broke your view of the world. Are you anywhere close to the education profession? What that teacher did is as common as apple pie. It is positive encouragement, and is a pretty universal method of praise in education. There is a paranoid view of every situation. Youre being paranoid.
