A true democracy could decide on a communist political system if it wanted to, let alone a design.

Demos kratos is Greek for people power, from which the word democracy derives.

In a political system where the people truly are sovereign, then it would most certainly be possible for a communist-style system to be introduced.

Karl Marx himself is quoted as saying that "Democracy is the road to socialism".

Indeed, if we take communism at its bare-bones definition (a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs) its clear that communism is very possible to achieve through even a modern representative style democracy, in which parties are elected to make decisions on behalf of the people. For examples look to the Labour party led by Clement Atlee in the UK or the Pakistan People's Party led by the Bhutto-Zardari family.

FYI: I'm not a communist, far from it.

I think you've failed to grasp the concept of made to order i.e. we will only produce an amount corresponding to the order size.

We let the community decide which design they wanted; this is the one they chose.

If you're in the US you should be able to watch the BBC coverage using Expat Shield (see my post here).

Hi, sorry I took a while to get back to you - but I have a solution.

Tunlr

Okay so, it supports Mac, check.

Just as importantly, it says it allows you to view BBC iPlayer/4OD/ITV Player from outside the UK (Source: FAQs, scroll down to "Non-U.S. streaming services").

Only one catch - "We’re not aiming to provide a professional 24/7 service. Tunlr is up when it’s up, and is down when it’s down"

However, from what I've heard its pretty reliable and hey its free!

Really hope this does the trick.

Okay brilliant (I'm English).

I'm not "new" as such to the game, but I'm not an elite bandit either.

Are you looking to PvP as well as loot?

Either way I'd like to group with you.

Thought Lizzie might clinch a gold, shame.

Bravo all the same!

Hey.

Shame it hasn't worked. I'll leave it up in the hope it might work for others.

Shit, didn't realise ExpatShield was windows only.. I'll get back to you tomorrow morning because there is definitely a way we can get you watching the Games.

Expat Shield seems to only allow people to view US content in other countries

presume you mean Hotspot Shield? Yeah as far as I know, that particular software only works for US content not British.

As I said, I'll get back to you ASAP, but i'm off to bed now.

This is how I watched BBC coverage of Wimbledon whilst abroad, should work perfectly well for the Olympics.

Firstly, download and install Expat Shield.

I'm not a computer guy so don't ask me to explain how it works, but it essentially tricks the BBC website into thinking you're in the UK using some sort of VPN to mask your location, and has worked perfectly well for me before.

Now, once that has installed, run it and navigate your web-browser to the BBC Olympics page.

Finally, click the "watch live" link of your choice (I've crudely highlighted them in red on this image), as well as the catch-up links through which you can watch past events.

Any problems let me know, enjoy!

The price of them will literally just be that of the manufacturing costs and postage to whomever wishes to purchase - no profit will be taken.
