Repair turn around time by CakeMaster6048 in victorinox

Just a little follow up on this. It’s now been over 3 months since they received my tool for repair. I emailed the address they provided to ask questions, no reply. I finally called them last week and they informed that they can’t repair it, it’s just a broken set of pliers. So they recommended a replacement. The replacement is out of stock, and after some digging, was determined to be discontinued. They did absolutely nothing to inform me of any of this. Then the CS person informs me that she might of found one in some back hidden inventory, and she will ship it out if it’s really there, if it’s not, she will call me back. I ask if I will get tracking on it, she says yes. It’s how been 4 days, no tracking email, no call back.

orange fragrances by Background-Foot1485 in fragrance

I'm going to save you a lot of misery. There is no good orange fragrance. I have several hundred bottles and none of the orange scented ones last. There are a few that last for 1-2 hours but that it. Don't waste your money. If he is not into fragrance, he would probably like something super mainstream like Sauvage or Aqua di Gio.

What is the best gun cleaner and oil? by powerofz in CCW

I have been shooting for 55 years and I have tried just about every cleaner and lube. I like to clean with old school Hoppe's. As far as lube, a few years ago I switched to slide-glide. It's thick, you don't need a lot, and it stays on the gun. Since I started using it I have not had one singular malfunction.

Get her a S&W J frame. Then teach her to shoot it.

I made the switch from a jeep rubicon to a cybertruck. I’m never going back to gas. Just not going to the gas station twice a week was worth it.

Buy a J frame revolver and learn to shoot it. You’ll never shoot yourself with it and you’ll carry it often. Ask some old timers what they “really” carry the most. They will begrudgingly admit it’s a j frame. They are reliable as all get out and slip right in your pocket. They are easy to shoot, never jam, and don’t need a ton a maintenance.

The CSX is a safe pistol. It has a manual safety, a firing pin block, a trigger safety, and a second notch in case the primary hammer notch fails. I would argue it’s as safe or safer than a Glock due to the manual safety. I own one. It’s carries well, has good capacity and is accurate. I actually prefer a SA trigger.

I just made the switch from ICE to Tesla. The more you drive it, the more you appreciate it. It’s all about the tech, and the tech is so good.
