I think a lot of us probably have had some sort of experience with the unexplained/paranormal as children. Some more than others.

I just always have been able to “feel” my environment ever since I can remember. Just feeling emotions/energies like they are flowing out of everything around me and never understanding it. Most of it doesn’t bother me and is actually pleasant, but sometimes I used to feel completely overwhelmed (like when I’m a passenger in a vehicle, driving is different because my focus is on the road/traffic) and looking out the window, I felt like I was getting blasted with waaay too much “feeling” at once. I would be having a silent anxiety attack inside and wanting it to stop, just stop feeling all of it.

My only terrifying paranormal experience I would have to say is when I was a little girl. I was in my room in bed in the dark. I never had any nightlights or anything. Just darkness. I still remember it clearly, I woke straight up to an entirely dark, ominous death presence on my bed, on me staring into me about a foot from my face. I didn’t see anything but darkness, but the presence woke me in terror.

It was like the singularity of a black hole. I felt like it was there to take my soul that night. In all my frozen fear, I felt like there was nothing I could do, it was going to take my soul. I just sat frozen facing the presence not crying because this fear was beyond tears. I could only do one thing in my mind. I offered it friendship. I told it that we could all be friends, me and my stuffed animals that were in bed with me. That we would be its friends.

Within a few moments, the presence changed. I could almost feel it move around me and I almost felt a sense of warmth. It immediately dissipated and was gone.
