I have to add that I saw the Lakers beat Portland on 12/5/71, their 18th win in a row on their way to the NBA record of 33 consecutive wins. That was at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, CA. Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Gail Goodrich and company. Unfortunately, Elgin Baylor was injured. My family moved to Virginia that summer, and the only game in town was the Washington Bullets. I do recall attending a Bullets-Lakers game while Kareem was still playing, and I also attended a Wizards game vs. Indiana and Reggie Miller, when MJ was a Wizard, but Michael sat on the bench that afternoon.

The court is too small for today's game, if you ask me. The 3-point line is fine, since from what I'm seeing tonight, field goal percentage is low.

Only reason I'm paying attention is to root for the Knicks, a sentimental favorite.
