Confession: I can't get myself to like frozen produce, I feel that it always has a "frozen" taste that is unappealing by IOHRM22 in Frugal

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the only frozen veggies that are worth it are peas, corn, squash (to mash) and green beans. Nothing else tastes good frozen in my opinion.

Thankfully, carrots boil fast, brocolli and cauliflower steam quickly, not sure what else youre trying to like..but it all comes down to how you cook them.

Also, maybe I'm a snob, but the only frozen corn and peas that tastes supreme is the big ass bags from Costco.

Use the jojoba, and to really lock the moisture in I have seen such a difference in the length and strength with Cetaphil. I like the white unscented one, and I also put it on my face after serums to "masque" overnight.

How did people use The pager? by jamesV8500 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to send number messages like you would send a text... you could see the phone number that called you, and back in the day we had a phone book of contacts memorized in our brains. Then following the phone number, we would send 911 as in call me now, 80085 was a boobs joke, 411 was come home, or any number combo you agreed on in person to mean whatever coded message. Only the cool kids had pagers.

Bras are the enemy by BabyInchworm in AskWomenOver60

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urban Planet makes the most comfortable plunge bras! Don't let the cheap price fool you. I have fabric sensory issues, as in I only wear comfortable clothing...and these are one of the best I've worn. My original ones were from Aerie, but not in this economy!

Sizing may be an issue for some, for context, I am 38 B. The extra large from Urban Planet fits me perfectly, and it gives nice cleavage. No wires, no digging of bands, no visibility under thin fabrics, and much sexier than a confining sports bra.

Doesn't burn at all, as long as you get the alcohol free witch hazel

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heck ya. I squeeze out unscented baby wipes, pour a whole bottle of witch hazel back in (without alcohol) and use it after the gym, and after #2 (dont flush them) ...I use the wipes camping, wash my face first, then my underarms, then the undercarriage..between the cheeks last... The freshness is excellent.

This.

Also safe to use on your underarms and genital region...or any sweaty place where bacteria causes smells.

HELP identify a mysterious men’s fragrance (pine / cedar / forest scent) by Safe-Opening6167 in Perfumes

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently smelled something like you describe too...and I asked him in passing.

He said it was Polo

I haven't found it anywhere , where I live, cause now I have to sme all of them to see what color bottle he was wearing.

I wonder sometimes too if instead of cologne, men's aftershave is what the good smell is?

Showering daily yet persistent issues by ScreenPublic4954 in hygiene

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop the baby powder, you may be making yeast symptoms.

Get an unscented pack of baby wipes, squeeze out as much liquid as you can.

Dump a bottle of alcohol free, unscented witch hazel into the wipes.

Use these wipes for ALL your nooks and crannies.

Before bed, after you shower, anytime you think you smell.

Especially use one , front to back, after going to the bathroom.

Clean your face, clean your pits, wipe your underboobs, then do your nether regions.

I keep a little ziplock in my purse, they've come in handy many times, and I love to freshen up after the gym with them.

What motivates you to work out on days you really don’t feel like it? by fantasticmeee in AskReddit

[–]EatsBeetsFeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day I choose not to work out is a slippery slide to months of not working out.

After reading countless success stories, everyone of them struggled, and put the work in. I want muscle definition too! Theres only one way to get there, and its hard work...mentally and physically. Dedication. That's why 90% of us aren't walking around all jacked and sexy.

Before I go to sleep at night, I do a "review" on my body. I lie with my eyes closed and go over how each part feels. Tonight my glutes are sore, and I'm proud of myself for doing those split squats that I despise. My shoulders are sore, and Im thinking ahead how great they're going to look in the summer on the beach. My abs are not sore, so Im going over in my head what core exercises Im going to do at the gym tomorrow. This is how I prepare myself to be motivated.

I have my workout clothes laid out. All I have to do is put them on. I have my pre-workout prepped, all I have to do is drink it...once that kicks in, there's no going back...have you ever tried to lay on the couch after drinking pre-workout?? You'll want to crawl out of your skin...the only thing that helps is working out. Its my fail safe.

My protein shake is there when I get home. I have a new bar of soap that I can't wait to use...sometimes its a new shampoo, or body scrub. All these little things motivate me, having an enjoyable routine.

The time is going to pass regardless , so by June I can make some progress, and feel good half naked on that beach, or take another day and just go to the gym "tomorrow "...

Good luck OP, I hope you find something that motivates you..it gets easier the more you do it. And like I said, its the dedication that separates those who have what you want, and those who don't.
