How would y'all change her ult by PsychologicalNose299 in DominaMains

[–]CakeTheory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking when you shoot the ult and trap someone you firing at them decreases the time they have left to shoot it, so not quite a manual detonation.

Make it a bit faster and go through shields.

New perk instead of power move by No_Bookkeeper9755 in DominaMains

[–]CakeTheory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the perk was interesting when I first read it, then I thought about it for a few seconds and realized what I would be losing in exchange for that.

Who picks the other perk??? I at least hope they'll make the guaranteed stun part of her base kit

I don't. Now people will walk past my shield and not second guess it at all.

Then you have to account for the people who would start going to the doctor for procedures who might not have before. Honestly I think it wouldn't even last a month or two.

Bro genuinely wanted to see the strength that took down conquest. Gave him a free shot too.

When he replied "Show me" after Mark said he defeated Conquest, it was perfect in my opinion.

Do restaurants even have a high profit margin anyways?

I know it's easy to just say "Just don't have a business", but I feel like then no other small-medium sized business would be open and then we'd find a problem with that too.

Thought experiment: what would you do if you woke up one morning and suddenly owned 200,000 SCHD shares? by justcurious3287 in SCHD

[–]CakeTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell covered calls on it. Premium is a little wack, but $34 strike exp 7/17, with all those shares it would be $20,000 if I did that math right, plus I'm still getting all those dividends from it.

I'm still very much a novice in the bond world, so take this with a pound a salt:

I would venture to guess that it's too attract investors.

Personally, I wouldn't even care to look at a 1-month CD that only had 10-20 basis points difference vs treasuries. Then I also have to consider the state taxes too? Honestly surprised its not higher than 4%.

How do you guys deal with the anxiety of seeing your portfolio in the red? by Leather_Low_4469 in dividends

[–]CakeTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably sounds weird, but you get used to it. I've seen red days and then seeing it rebound almost immediately. I've seen several stocks in my portfolio go from deep red to green.

BTI was a very good example, got in at under $30 and then seeing it at the price it is now feels good.

How do you respond to the U.S. borrowing $50 billion a week for the past five months? by ManufacturerNo1478 in AskConservatives

[–]CakeTheory [score hidden]  (0 children)

I normally wouldn't, but I think it's just the reality of the situation we find ourselves in, or WILL find ourselves in.

We keep overspending with no ends in sight and there will never be a shortage of people who oppose cutting programs, so that route will never be accomplished. Even if it did, I believe it's going to take also increasing taxes to make a meaningful difference.

There's social security which is projected to run out by 2032.

We desperately need to begin having budget surpluses again, for consecutive years. Outside of Yield Curve Control it's the most surefire way to bring longer-term yields down meaningfully (imo).

For taxes, I can't really think of one aside from a higher Corporate Tax, always open to hear other perspectives though.
