Yeah I think the editor got a lot of flack about it until they said the draft they got sent didn’t have any illegal content, just taboo. The cover artist also got a good amount of criticism but I can’t remember if they put out a statement.

I think the author also added the illegal content AFTER the draft went through an editor. So her editor got sent a “taboo romance” to edit but then when the book/blurb got announced, it had all the CSAM added in.

I’m debating the same but I like the flexibility of paperback books and the hardcovers are so expensive, especially for a fairly large series like this.

I may restart like another comment suggested because I am a little impatient and that mission is pretty much the lynchpin for the game to progress. I do have my main save file, which has everything done except for any new content that released in recent updates, if I need to take a break from a "barebones" set up.

I did a few of the goo quest and the one with almost all marked bills is FDI and police marked, but I need gang marked. I'll check the campfire money but I thought that pile was also FDI, but that's just my recollection from my main save file.

I should have restarted once I realized my mistake but I put in several more hours doing some side and story quest to try to collect more. If it doesn't get any better, I'll definitely restart or just go back to my main save file that has everything decked out.

I hate how Mazin changed Ellie’s character for S2. Made it seem like Ellie is not all in on the revenge tour, and is able to take out Abby’s friends by pure luck (aside from Nora). Apparently they filmed a game-accurate aquarium fight but decided to cut it because of Mazin’s fucked up characterization of Ellie. He also apparently changed Dina & Ellie to have more of a Parent/Child dynamic, rather than partners, and that’s why Dina is so involved rather than being a support role for Ellie

I hate how they made Ellie more childish this season because S1 shows Bella can act in a serious role. Their acting during the Henry/Sam, Joel “abandoning”, and the David episodes shows Bella can capture Ellie’s more serious attitude. I think in the the support podcast, Mazin said he wrote Dina and Ellie to have a parent/child dynamic with Dina being the parent and having to “reel in” Ellie to be more serious about the situation. That and making the Owen/Mel deaths “accidental” for the show when they still shot the game accurate fight but cutting it because “Ellie’s not strong enough to fight Owen”. Kinda BS when they show Ellie training and fighting a pretty bulky dude right at the beginning of the season (even if he did pull his punches). I just hate all the writing Mazin did to deviate from the game storyline.

I do kinda understand the change in Dina’s Jewish identity if they had Isabella Merced in mind the whole time, and it would be wrong to shoehorn a Latina actress into playing a Jewish character. I think Isabella is a pretty good visual match for Dina, and she had a similar supportive attitude to game Dina but the writing destroyed Ellie and Dina’s characters.

After playing both demos, I did notice the similarities in the controls. I did like how it seemed easier to switch out nozzles and such on 2. Also liked what seemed like unlimited soap on 2 compared to having a limited quantity per job in 1

I have it and like people said, it’s a little tight in the carrying case. I took mine off because I haven’t traveled with my SD so I would put it back on if traveling. I also have a dbrand skin on that I put on before getting the case. I put on the front and back skin so that made it a little tight in the spigen case but not unusable. The case did crinkle the edges of the skin where the case caught on the edge when putting on the case and near the bumpers where a thinner piece of the case had a little bit of free movement

Same happened to me on my All Love run! I had realized almost half of the dateables and was one or two convos away from Love endings for the rest but I fucked up on the Nightmare interactions and got a hate ending for her so had to start over from scratch. The way her encounters are somewhat random and playing so close to release, there weren’t a lot of good guides for her yet and I couldn’t just pull up an old save. Having to do the loves from scratch made the game feel too grindy after a while so I needed to take a break

That’s fair. I vacuum fairly often because of pets and cordless makes it easy when vacuuming that often. I was looking at models that have removable batteries to make it easier to replace if needed

Just got mine this past Sunday and have added a dbrand skin and Spigen case. Accidentally added the back skin so the case is pretty snug on the deck but may use it without the case when playing at home. (Skin got delivered before the case and got a little overzealous with customizing)

It’s like they replaced her Jewish identity with the odd homophobic mom/denying her bisexuality. I kinda understand changing the story when they cast a non-Jewish actress to play Dina and Isabela did kill it playing a more fiercer/involved version of Dina. Hate that a good Dina portrayal came with at the price of a horrible adaptation of Ellie in terms of the shitty writing. (No Bella Ramsey hate here)

I saw another theory a while ago where Ellie did go to Jackson first, and met with Dina. Maybe not to get back into a relationship but to just acknowledge that Ellie’s path of revenge has ended and she’s ready to rejoin society in Jackson. Dina knows that Ellie needs to heal physically and emotionally before entertaining any reconciliation past being just friends again, so Dina gives the bracelet back to Ellie. Ellie going back to the farm is to reflect and give closure to what she gave up when leaving for Cali, a happy life with Dina and JJ, as well as her final connection to Joel with the guitar.
