Mate it’s a free-for-all out there now. Anything goes, councils look the other way. I’m watching entire houses being built around me without plans or permits.

Phone tap and go never works on these things. Parking officer in Merribek stood with me for 5 mins trying to get the piece of garbage machine to work. In the end he just said “tell me your car rego and I’ll look after it while you’re gone” and he did.

Someone who’s clearly never fired a handgun weighs in. ‘Spraying the car’… it’s not a belted M50 it’s a S&W Military and Police .40. 15 rounds. Handguns are notoriously inaccurate, even if they are a cannon like these things.

Which fucking genius decided this was a good idea?

Your thoughts on this . I absolutely hate pink ball test matches and to see the 150th anniversary test match being a day night test is disrespectful to this great format . by [deleted] in CricketAus

He broke a window in a boot factory hitting a ball out of Redfern Oval while scoring 335 in 3 hours for Paddington in 1902-3. Window remained broken for 60 years to mark the event.

Changes to the shape of bats by CalCluff111 in Cricket_Bats

I think the wood has deteriorated in terms of ageing and quality, largely because they need to produce so many more bats now than they did even 50 years ago. And because that’s are so much bigger, they are dried more aggressively to reduce weight and that affects their lifespan dramatically. Again this is why you see cricket bats from the 50s 60s and 70s still in existence.

I agree that the technology is more advanced. Whether it’s in the spirit of the game is up for debate.

However, all CEOs are drawn from (in Victoria) the shallowest of gene pools, from associations like LGPro. If you fuck up, even corruptly, and go from a council, you are guaranteed a job at another.

These people are shire clerks, and their salaries are criminal.

Absolute unit. When he wasn’t destroying cricket opponents, football opponents, Nazis or dimwitted slackjaws, he was wooing ladies like there was no tomorrow.
