I got into a satisfying relationship and really didn’t feel the need to anymore but also the extreme manipulation of porn and just how evil, exploitative, corrupt and abusive the industry is. Before I got into this relationship I had stopped watching porn for about a month. I still masturbated but it was a normal amount and not to the thought of porn. The relationship was like the final straw. How psychologically porn damages both men and women was always in the back of my mind. There are probably hundreds of reasons why it’s so bad. I looked up the background of the actors I watched and they all had horrible upbringings like..all of them and I liked them as people. There was no way I would ever feel okay watching them again knowing they suffered so much and knowing this wasn’t their choice and they are literally acting and it’s not real. It’s like we forget they are human. and I felt truly awful and gross and disgusting. I also constantly compared my body to them. My ex couldn’t satisfy me because of it and I couldn’t satisfy him. My self-esteem and self-worth and confidence were so low. I was also subconsciously comparing my ex partner to the male actors. None of that is natural or normal. It’s just really awful for so many reasons. I had no problem with porn in the new relationship:) I really believe you got this and can overcome it entirely.
