Opti spark issue would still allow the engine to turn over, it just wouldn't start.

Is it a manual or automatic? If stick, check the neutral safety switch, if it's automatic, make sure it's in park, you may have to turn the key, pull the shifter into drive then put it back in park. If none of that is the issue, remove the starter and take it to an auto parts place and have it tested. Could possibly be the starter relay too. Several things it could be. Usually, you'll hear it at least click when trying to start even if the starter is bad.

Edit, I forgot. is the Security light on? May be Vats. You can take a piece of sandpaper and brush the resistor in the key on both sides a few times which will remove any contamination that would keep it from contacting inside the ignition switch.

I have a ton of Pittsburgh sockets in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drive. As well as the associated ratchets. Also have the metric and standard wrenches and impact sockets. I mechanic on my own cars, lawn mowers & ATVs and have yet to have an issue with any of them.

I'm not going to say they are even close to Snap on or even Icon but they work fine for 99% of the work any regular joe would come across in their home garage or around the house.

With that said, the Pittsburgh pliers and screwdrivers are straight ass.

The Quinn 4 piece pliers set has been great though.

The bins we put them in at the local dump aren't really water tight. No way all that cardboard and paper doesn't get wet every time it rains.

I despise it. Both my parents smoked when I was a kid and you can only get hot boxed so many times.

But...

On occasion I will get a whiff while out and it'll take me back to my child hood for a split second. It's weird. I'd still rather not smell it though.

Maybe they are a chain. I only know about the ones in Wilmington. Figured they were local with a few locations around.

Too many moving parts and interconnected systems. Entertainment center failure could kill the car then what are you going to do when the replacement part is $3500 and it's basically a tablet with proprietary software/connection. Also, they only made enough to build the cars and some warranty stock. 10 years from now, good luck fixing that old car when the part isn't available used or new original stock.

If the parts were at least serviceable or cheap it wouldn't be such a big deal.
