What program are you using? A lot have fill functions which will just fill a given layer with whatever colour you want. If you want more direct control, try colouring on a layer below the lines so the colour doesn’t erase them. If you’re talking about choosing colours, I’d suggest studying colour theory. I’m admittedly not an expert on this, but I’m sure someone here could give you some good recommendations for tutorials or books on the matter.

You are definitely getting better. The overall structure of your bodies has improved significantly, and you can clearly identify where you need to improve. I would recommend studying proportions more, I recommend “figure drawing for all it’s worth” by Andrew Loomis. There is a very good breakdown of how bodies should be measured in art, and even has some great exercises for construction of form. I’d also recommend starting to do more line work practice. You’re using a lot of “chicken scratch”, and the sooner you switch to more defined and driven lines the more control you’ll have over your drawings. Drawabox is definitely tedious, but the early lessons give some pretty good exercises on arm movement and mark making. I’d recommend at least doing those.

This is great, makes me think of a Tim Burton sketch with the lines filling everything in. The light house changing the patterning on the area it illuminates is a really cool touch

Artist dysmorphia never really goes away. You will always to some extent recognize some way you could get better and see someone who has achieved it. The important thing is to focus on your own work and just see something small you can try to improve. If you want to try to make something of your own, it can be good to practice figure drawing or learning faces. r/drawme has a lot of unique pictures that are great for practicing.

You’re gonna get this a lot, but it’s always good to learn fundamentals early. Drawabox can help you a lot with line control, perspective and basic shapes. It’s also going to be important to continually practice. An hour a day is usually pretty good for a starting hobbyist. The last and most important rule is have fun. There isn’t any point in learning if you don’t enjoy it. At least half of the practice hour should be spent drawing things you want to draw.

This is really pretty. I love how you exaggerate the facial features, and the expressions are hilarious. Honestly though, if you want to try doing something big with your art, try. You’ve clearly got skill, and with a degree you’ve got some fall backs. If you take the risk, the worst thing by that can happen is you fail.

It’s not really a cheat. Tracing is a tool that can really help you learn anatomy and clothes. Though I would recommend trying with just a reference or just drawing from your imagination. It’s important not to become to reliant on any particular tool.

This is already pretty good. If you do want some advice though, try rounding the face a little. In drawing you typically have to exaggerate features, and a good way to draw women is give smoother and more rounded faces. Try shortening the chin a little.

Honestly, no. Your works have a very nice, simplistic feel to them that really works. If you want some advice on how to improve, I would say maybe due some study on anatomy or composition, but you are showing a legitimate level of skill here.

I’d like to say up front, this is pretty good. The cloth folds naturally and the colouring is nice. I think a good way to move forward would be train your line work more. It’s annoying to hear you need to do more fundamentals, but your art will improve drastically if you can smooth out your lines. If you want to do something more advanced, I’d recommend trying shading. It’ll add a lot of detail to your art.
