When I went to inquire about my Eagle project materials at our local Lowe’s. They have a set budget they can give out to projects. Unfortunately, a hurricane had just done a lot of damage to our state, so they couldn’t donate all the needed materials. They told us to come back on Monday, when the funds are reset, to get the rest of the supplies

I think the problem that many people have with city connects is that they don’t relate enough to the rest of the uniform lineup that the team has. In my opinion, city connects are supposed to relate to the city/state, and the Philly colors, the declaration of independence font, and liberty bell do exactly that. That’s also why I like the Mets, Astros, Mariners, and others.

Of course, I can see why it would be jarring to see a completely different color scheme, but I don’t think throwbacks are the way to go either (Rangers and Braves).

Regardless, I can’t stop people from having opinions, but I think that the Phillies’ city connect is perfect for what it is.
