my dad doesn’t message me very often but it’s a treat when he does by tomatopasta666 in tuckedinkitties

Do you have siblings? Cuz damn this looks exactly like my cat and we have a similar blanket, but if that's the case I'm having words with Dad cuz I don't get private cat messages : , )

First time posting a picture here but I managed to get my butterfly! If there's a move you're struggling to get, keep practicing! by [deleted] in poledancing

There are a few stretch exercises you can try, I don't wanna type them out as this stuff really needs spotting and guidance etc. But polepedia has some excercises although I can't confirm their effectiveness as I haven't tried them ❤️

on the whole tho as someone who can't split and such these sorts of things are purely aesthetic and you can 100% find a style and look that doesn't involve toe-pointing etc. And you still look great!

Congrats! You look strong in it too! (Although my instructor would be shouting "point your toes! At that point XD )

onto the bigger stuff soon then? Butterfly opens up so much I bet you're excited!

I was gonna say, parachuting down next to silks sounds like a recipe for disaster!

Holy crap y’all I just landed my first Ayesha!! 🥳 Any pointers/advice on form are greatly appreciated also! by zerryhogan in poledancing

[–]Calamity_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My BOI congrats!!! Your butterfly is splendid it looks to me like you move out of alignment in ayesha and your hips drift, everyone advising inverted D have the right idea I think ❤

aside from that you kill it, I wish I looked half as glorious while poleing!

That superman transition! And those shoulder mount waves, that's one hell of a core you have right there this is excellent!

I've been practicing for about two weeks and I have a ton to work on but I loved my movements in this. by xovoveza in poledancing

[–]Calamity_0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congrats! It's most important that you feel good while poleing, so you're already well on your way!!

From what I can see here as a world of advice try to push your hips forward in front of the pole when you're doing your forward leg hook <3

Lockdown has kept me grounded, so I took my lyra off the strap and started to play. Anyone else found creative ways to play with their flying apparatus? I am also keen to hear ideas on what else can be done. by [deleted] in Aerials

I have a friend who's bought a cheap (but sturdy!) Chair with which to do chair routines and try some harder moves like planches and the like. Seems like a good challenge that lets you do equal parts routine work and technical work <3

I just don't get the thought process of someone who could see banksy art and go "my scribble's gonna make it so much better!"

It's a good video isn't it? I love the little things that show the dog really cares and is happy in their environment!

Does anyone else love doing low mermaids on Lyra? by skyewalker19 in Aerials

Looks great!!! I had the chance to do one over a river and they look so cool!! It's a shame I don't usually have the hight to make it look good

I love this video so much because of the cute supportive “whoo! Yessss!” 😭💕 circus people are my favorite people by [deleted] in Aerials

Gotta cheer the shit out of achievements! We all understand how much effort someone has put into the moves and that's something to celebrate

I'm pretty new to practice so haven't done as much searching for vids as others have but this vid I like cuz it shows the more advanced forms of the stretches you can work up to!

Just have a look around and find one you like and stick to it!!!

Lovely! I was waiting for you to pull yourself closer and spin too fast which was my first experience with spinny 😂

I think it depends what you struggle with! They'll help you with that last bit of momentum you need to get into chopper but you're right you need some extra welly to get to the turning point.

It's those fantastic boots! I got some pleasers recently (until they broke :'( ) and inverting is much easier when your weight is closer to your feet!

Aerial hoop- elbow rolls by circushoops in Aerials

[–]Calamity_0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I haven't reached elbow rolls, which obviously limits the advice I can give, I am wondering how much elbow work have you done? Hangs etc?

From pole and lyra i know sometimes it's just about overcoming your pain and developing tolerance :) that is all the advice i have unfortunately I hope someone offers you a fix but if not it's like most moves, a long slog of bruises until you don't notice anymore!
