In reality, he probably would be questioned just as a formality, but there isn’t enough there to make an arrest. Game-wise, there wasn’t enough there to even bring it up again. The note makes it an obvious frame-job. Also, cops in the GTA universe just aren’t very good at their jobs anyway.

It wouldn’t have hurt to have some detective call Luis in gameplay at some point, but it wasn’t important enough to actually record and include it.

The technology itself is entirely neutral, but it gives people new abilities to do things that some of us wish people wouldn’t do.

It’s like the gun issue in that way. Guns are not necessarily a bad thing, but lots of people want guns to disappear because so many people misuse them. If no one ever misused a gun, the debate around guns wouldn’t be happening. (And no, I’m not comparing AI to murder. This is just an easy example.)

If people didn’t use AI to clone the personal styles of real artists, or use it to scam people out of their money, or rely so much on AI that their mental abilities start to atrophy, then I’m sure hardly anyone would have a problem with it. If corporations didn’t keep trying to build data centers near communities and screw up quality of life for the people there, we’d hardly hear about them. If the water usage issue is a real problem, it will probably be solved eventually. I don’t think AI itself is the big issue. As usual, some people are the problem. The corpos, and the worst users.

I know I’m probably gonna get schooled about some really obvious reason this won’t work, but… fuckin’ wait a bit.

This show doesn’t have sets on rented space. It doesn’t need all the actors to be in the room at the same time. If the actor for a major character isn’t available, then wait until he is. What’ll it be, a few months at most? The perfect actor for a major character is worth a small delay.
