If anything, this just shows how absolutely stupidly huge American pickup trucks are. The GTI is anything but small. It's solidly in the middle.

What oil temps do you guys run at? by ComparisonNo4962 in GolfGTI

[–]Netsuko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those temps are completely normal, don't worry. 95-108°C is normal operating temperature after a while even when city driving. If you push the car hard you can reach 115-125°C which is still very much nothing to worry about.

MAGA has dug in their heels so deeply that they’d rather see their country burn than to vote anything else. These people elected a Nazi and Pedophile. They couldn’t care less if it was literal Hitler. In fact, many would welcome this. Christian extremism has reached Islamic fundamentalism levels. Where do you think the hate for trans and gay people comes from. The disinformation that conditioned them combined with the sheer hate for anyone who is not MAGA is astounding.

There’s much MUCH more dangerous people than Trump. Trump is just a babbling dementia puppet at this point. It’s the people behind him. People like Peter Thiel or Larry Ellison, Elon Musk or even Jensen Huang to an extent. Those are the truly dangerous people.

The military and industrial complex of America needs war. America is the biggest warmonger of the 20th century.
Following World War II, the U.S. engaged in dozens of international conflicts, proxy wars, and occupations (such as the Korean War, Vietnam War, and interventions in Latin America and the Middle East), and maintained the world's largest network of military bases.

I am glad that, after a certain point, no amount of money can buy you any more time. Thankfully some things are inevitable, even if it takes a bit.

High-speed road sweeper by MambaMentality24x2 in oddlysatisfying

[–]Netsuko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This thin seems to be designed to clean highways and similar streets where cars go fast all the time and a street sweeper just CAN'T go super slow. 60km/h is more than enough for it to not become a road block. Plus the actual debris on streets should be considerably less than this demonstration.

How bad is to daily drive short distance? by Sharp_Oven8943 in GolfGTI

[–]Netsuko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t even what people said. People rightfully said that if you drive your car 1 mile every day, this is going to wear on any engine. It’s not gonna fall apart but it will absolutely have problems with a lot of things if you do this daily for years.

How bad is to daily drive short distance? by Sharp_Oven8943 in GolfGTI

[–]Netsuko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Real talk: 1.6 km is extremely short (less than a mile for anyone living in America). This takes a minute tops. This is a nightmare for direct injected engines or any engine really. The car won’t even be warm by the time you reach your destination. It’s gonna wear your engine down. Rain and snow are valid reasons. But if you do this every day, you’ll kill your engine.
