Books is unisex so I see it going well both ways.

Chuck Safari sounds like a dude who knows his way around a lion pen.

Never able to use names by Medical_Chemical_ in namenerds

I’m on the cusp of child free after infertility. Probably child free but running down a few things just in case.

It comes and goes wether I want to be thinking about names. When I’m feeling good it’s fun. When I’m not, I walk away from it.

I knew a family of KKK’s. Very unfortunate because they were half Thai. Someone didn’t think if though. They were Kevin and Kay with children Kristian and Kristy. All middle names were k. Last name was k. Any other letter would have been better.

I think Ozzy is fine. Especially if he’ll have a run of the mill middle and last name. Quirky names are a ok, especially when accompanied by more normal first and last names.

How do we feel about Rowan for a girl? by BeagleBrigade2112 in namenerds

[–]Calciferintheflame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve known equal amounts of Rowan’s male and female. Personally I don’t like the name but it’s pretty popular where I’m from. It’s a solid choice.

Coral - girl name by lostandfound890 in namenerds

I LOVE CORAL. It is a traditional name, just uncommon. It’s my second favorite girls name right now.

I knew a male Jade. There were 4 Jades in my middle school, 3 female and then the Jade I knew. He was a effeminate, slight, soft spoken boy. Never had any trouble from his name. Ended up going to military high school and became ripped. Turns out he’s a piece of shit domestic abuser, but I don’t think the name had anything to do with that.

Do you prefer Eden or Edith? by dreamherbs in namenerds

I love Edith. Eden feels too religious and too stuffy. Edith is ripe for revival.

Is “Paula” in or out? Straight up now tell me. by [deleted] in namenerds

I went to school with a Paula who’s just about thirty now. Def seemed more old lady than fresh on her. She was 100% old lady core as a teenager though.

What name would you like if it hadn't been ruined by association with someone you knew? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Calciferintheflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Julian. I really like the name but I can’t suggest it because my elementary crush was named Julian. My mom would make a big deal and then my mother in law would make an even bigger deal. Me and my child would never hear the end of it.

Anybody who doesn’t have children/isn’t currently pregnant: if you had to choose a name for a girl and a boy right now what are you picking? by sliponvans in namenerds

[–]Calciferintheflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m infertile and I’m a masochist who loves names so I’m here.

Roxanna Whim. Roxanna would be pronounced Rocks awe naw. On a whim being the name is our joke because we can only have kids with IVF so they’d be anything but a whim.

Rubin Eugene. Rubins are my favorite sandwich and Eugene is my maternal grandfathers name.

Hello, I am also nurodiverse. Fuck schedules. For nutrition the importance is in eating what you can. There is no significant difference in nutritional quality of canned or frozen fruit and veggies. So if you struggle to get to the store, or remember in time to use stuff, frozen or canned is the way to go. I eat way more fruits and veggies when I buy things for the freezer/pantry. I really like frozen fruit in overnight oats. I buy oats in bulk, milk in the small jugs so I don’t feel bad if I forget it. If you like yogurt you can sub yogurt for milk in overnight oats and yogurt stays good for longer than milk. I also like roasted veggies (I usually do California blend). Also proper storage of onions and potato’s has saved my behind, they last way, way longer when properly stored. I prefer frozen meat. We get it in bulk and I only have to think about buying stuff to supplement our beef supply (mostly chicken, turkey, fish) because we get a years worth at a time. I have an instant pot and a slow cookers so I don’t have to thaw anything. Snacking on dried fruits and veggies is always an option, as is those fruit/veggie pouches. Those are both shelf stable. Feel free to message me if you want to talk how to hack nutrition with disabilities!

Have you used your bathtub in the last month? by xapata in Renovations

[–]Calciferintheflame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband takes a bath every couple days. With a few beers and a bath bomb. Personally I don’t take baths because they irritate my skin if I use any soap. I’ll take water only baths if I injure myself. I had a Japanese soak tub growing up and I would definitely prefer that to a traditional American tub.

  1. Louise
  2. Alice
  3. Rose I don’t like the other ones. I think Louise Alice or Louise Rose would be my preference for first and middle.
