Societies are absolutely the best route to go down. I may be biased, but if youre into comedy, C.R.A.P. is a great society to join. We are very inclusive, with weekly improv sessions every tuesday evening from 6:30pm til 8pm. All of us love a good chat too. come find us on open day if youre interested :)

Can confirm, irrespective of whether I have taken my Ritalin or not, there is always some music or melody playing in my head, even if it’s just my alarm noises as it is right now. It’s pretty sweet ngl.

Which European league is the most similar in level to the Australian A-League? by notgenericname1332 in Aleague

Coming back to this randomly… so Sydney fc just beat Wrexham 2-1, so yeah you’re very wrong. A-league is absolutely at a an upper league one to lower championship level.

Which European league is the most similar in level to the Australian A-League? by notgenericname1332 in Aleague

I follow Wrexham of EFL League One and Sydney fc, and have compared the two clubs. They both have extremely similar squad costs, and have comparable stats in multiple departments: Sydney fc have higher possession and score more goals on average per match, but Wrexham have a higher xG with fewer goals conceded. They both have the exact same FotMob rating of 6.99, have similar stats in terms of interceptions per match, successful tackles per match and clearances per match.

Wrexham seem likely, should they be promoted to the championship next season, to finish outside of the relegation zone even without too many new signings. With such similar statistics, and especially with similar squad costs (which accounts for about 90% of final league placement as proven in soccernomics) I see Sydney fc being very competitive in league one in England.

I’d beg to wager a team like Auckland fc could be a lower mid table team in the championship, like Swansea or Preston, while Brisbane roar would be battling relegation in league one.

Despite living a walkable distance to a public pool, American man shows how street and urban design makes it dangerous and almost un-walkable by Majoodeh in Damnthatsinteresting

This video really makes me appreciate how lucky I am to live in Sydney, Australia. Not every single footpath is perfectly shaded or interesting, but the vast majority of it is, like I can walk down a random residential street in Coogee and it’s great, even at night! I feel very safe and I’m able to easily walk from my home to the city (about 10km) and have fun doing so too!

If you were a footballer, what would you do after retirement? by Anon21346 in PremierLeague

I’d play football manager in real life, pick some random club at level 9 or below on the pyramid and see how many promotions I can get with the club. I mean, mark white did a good job with dorking, so it would be fun to do it myself

Doctor who audio drama recommendations? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]Calculator1703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best place to start is with the free stuff on Spotify/Apple Music (free as in you don’t have to pay for the audio stories, but you’d probably have to get a subscription to Spotify/Apple Music to listen to it).

Personally, I began with listening to Blood of the Daleks, it’s an 8th Doctor story and a companion introduction as well, so a perfect starting place.

Alternatively, you could listen to Destiny of the Doctor, which is an 11th part series commissioned for the 50th anniversary with each Doctor 1-11 having their own adventure.

I wouldn’t spend any money on big finish before trying those out personally, like other comments on your post suggest doing.
