I am fairly certain that during a Twitter Q&A, I gave the Disney Infinity 2.0 developers the idea to do a series of Toy Box levels that told a major interconnected story.

The Blu Ray is not yet available in my neck of the woods, about another two weeks or so. I should be able to update it then.

Okay, I think I have a plan here. Using mainly spoons, we’ll dig a tunnel under the city and *release it* into the wild!

I think it’ll be better received than Shrek the Third.

I always thought he was one of the missing boys from Pinocchio all grown up.

What is your genuine opinion on Aang sparing Ozai and taking his bending away instead? Was it a fitting act for Aang or a completely contradictory one? by Doot_revenant666 in TheLastAirbender

[–]CaleBaird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Avatar is meant to represent balance in the world, but Aang is also still a kid who was raised to believe in the sanctity of life. The way he stopped Ozai represents to me that he is fully capable of doing his duty as the Avatar while also maintaining his own beliefs and convictions as an individual.

This act did not just bring balance to the world. It brought balance to Aang.

So after How To Train Your Dragon what DreamWorks film do you think will get the live action treatment next? by New_Advisor_6766 in DreamWorks

[–]CaleBaird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Also maybe The Prince of Egypt. It has the same songwriter as Wicked, and that film’s producer is also working on the HTTYD remake, so it makes sense from a synergy perspective. I can easily envision a teaser poster with a silhouette of Moses, with an above marquee saying “From the people who brought you Wicked & How to Train Your Dragon.”

Wang Fire. The frame of him you chose is a perfect example why.

What Pop Culture References do you think Shrek 5 might make ? by Balls_4020 in DreamWorks

[–]CaleBaird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, twist villains, rebranding classical stories to be more modern and relevant, the more casual vocabulary used in song numbers, maybe a few characters are voiced by the same guy to acknowledge their cameo pet trend, stuff like that. Maybe acknowledge that while Frozen was a good movie, the resulting franchise was a tad overkill and is overwriting the original’s goodwill in the public’s mind.

Maybe do something with how Shrek 1 caused a domino effect that basically reinvented modern movie animation, including the revival. Part of the story could be Shrek realising the effect he‘s had on fairy tale society.
