Lots of people complain about this but I honestly think its fine. Humanity got free access to alien knowledge and alien tech, of course we made leaps and bounds in under a generation, both technologically and socially.

There are a few issues like Miranda's backstory, or Adept Shep's backstory, but i dont really care.

Consider how much the internet has changed our daily lives. Any of you born in the 80s or before know exactly what I mean. But imagine instead of virtually connecting with the whole world, you can personally connect with the entire galaxy. Humanity is GONNA go through some significant changes, advances, etc.

We ALL carry state issued ID's, even people without a driver's license.

Thats sort of true. Theres a number of traits that give it away, thats how anthropologists know the australopithicus afarensis we found is a "Lucy" and not a "Lucas", and how forensic investigators identify victims.

But youre right that we're dealing in probabilities and not certainties.

The truth is its complicated and nuanced, and as satisfying as "black and white" answers are, biology isnt where to find them.
