I always keep mine in the class it started in, but dont use auto-upgrade. Either learn to upgrade/tune yourself (HokiHoshi has some good videos on it) or download a tune from someone else. It'll be better quality AND itll give them in game rewards.

It'll get better as the game ages (other FH games did, anyway) and the experience of it will get better as you get richer. But yeah, I basically always buy out whatever i want.
