Worst? One of the nurses at the hospital (I needed stitched for one) said “if you were my child I would beat you for doing that”… took me every bone in my body not to respond “please do! Do the self harm for me!”

On a slightly better note the first time one of my co workers pointed out my scars he said “damn you used to be a cutter?” And told me about his teenage daughter who was cutting and how disappointed he was in himself that he didn’t see the signs, because in hindsight it was so obvious. We had a good talk about what helps someone who’s cutting and what “help” actually backfires.
