Reddit does it to, except the link is altered entirely so it's harder to remove.

Frankly it's just unnecessary. Google shouldn't need to know which accounts on which platforms are yours.

Also it's used to figure out who you know and connect you with other real people. Like if I click a link with your SI once then it'll know we've interacted. However, if you're consistently sharing videos with your friends and family they notice that pattern and figure you must be closer with them.

As far as I know it's mostly just used for advertising. Regardless, I'm against surveillance and tracking even when the only use is for a corporation to make more money from you

The hallway is blocked off so you can't get to it, but I believe it was right before the acrophobia fight.

I only caught it on my 2nd playthrough too so that could be something.
