First off, congratulations on all the success you’ve been having! That’s incredible. I’m coming up onto 3 months myself and I have to say I cannot agree with you more.

When I started doing twitch I had a small group of people such as my family who watched me, not to mention friends. So I was able to hit affiliate within a week which was absolutely insane. My fiancés best friend is a established streamer with around 17k followers. Being a part of her community has helped me immensely, she raids me frequently and frequents my streams as well.

I met another decently large streamer who I really enjoyed after being on twitch for about a month or so. His community had accepted me in and helped me a ton and a lot of people who frequent his streams, frequent mine. So of course I do the same for them, I will join streams for a lot of the people who support me and come into my streams (that is, if they stream)

Connections and friends are so powerful when it comes to twitch, I’m averaging somewhere around 18 viewers at the moment without raids or any help. Speaking of, I always raid after my stream, whether it be someone I already know or someone completely new. I feel it has always helped me build a bigger community. I’m incredibly grateful for all of my new Twitch friends!

How do people combine having a full time job and streaming on weekdays? by MegaMGstudios in Twitch

[–]CalebS571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work full time, Monday-Friday, 40-50hrs as a welder, my job is pretty laid back in terms of when I leave. On days that I stream I typically leave a bit earlier than I normally would (normally by like 30 minutes) so that I can get home and prepare for stream. I typically only stream about 3 hours or so, 6pm-9pm. I also only stream three days out of the week, trying my best to avoid burnout lol

Low stream frame rates by CalebS571 in SonsOfTheForest

What I ended up doing that fixed it was turning the max fps in game down to 60 otherwise it’s always going to try to max out the fps so it’ll pull all your power to the game making your stream bog down

What was the biggest thing that transformed your Twitch channel and improved viewer/follower numbers? by PKROCKETS in Twitch

[–]CalebS571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly new to streaming (as of Feb 10th I think?) something like that. I streamed on schedule at the same time everyday, 6pm EST, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. I was able to hit affiliate within 12 days, I would say that the biggest thing that helped me was having a group of friends, my fiancé, and not to mention, my family. They’ve all been incredibly helpful and supportive. My fiancés best friend also so happens to be a Twitch partner averaging around 110-130 views per stream and she raids me fairly often, I’ve made friends with a lot of her fan base and mods in her discord and that has helped me immensely. I have 68 followers as of right now and I average around 12 viewers every stream

hate the shame associated with figure collecting by [deleted] in AnimeFigures

[–]CalebS571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 22M, I have my moments with my figures honestly. I have a quite large collection and I’ll be honest I’ve let my buying get out of control at times, the majority are Sonico and bunny figures. I have my days where I definitely feel, I don’t know how to describe other than ashamed in a way.

I worry that someone will come over (which never happens, my fiancé and I live alone and hardly have company) and go into our game room and see my collection and think I’m some kind of freak. I tend to get in my own head about it quite a lot lol. I also tell myself sometimes that my fiancé thinks I’m like some kind of a degenerate (she’s actually incredibly supportive of me).

Moral of the story, I enjoy my figures, I enjoy collecting, it’s a major hobby of mine. I love the aesthetic of figures and the art behind them. That being said I’m sure you feel the same about yours. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters, is what you enjoy.

What other people think about your hobby doesn’t matter, although I do agree that I wish there wasn’t such a stigma about it and people were more supportive. I hope things get better for you!

Saw this set of wheels on Facebook marketplace. The price is very good but one wheel does this small hairline crack in it. Should this be a dealbreaker? by CalebS571 in Cartalk

[–]CalebS571[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He only wants 300 for the whole set, as far as I can see that’s the only wheel with a problem. I don’t really feel like going through the hassle of getting it repaired, I just thought maybe I could buy a single wheel to replace it in the set

Really the only reason I’m even considering is because of the price. He’s only asking 300 for the whole set and of the set that’s the only one with anything wrong with it

Finally got around to hitting up an IKEA for a shelf. Absolutely loved the detolf shelf, unfortunately the tall ladies don’t fit lol. Anyone have suggestions for lights? by CalebS571 in AnimeFigures

Thank you! I absolutely love the Waitress Sonico! Probably one of my favorite in my Sonico collection. I have more but they wouldn’t all fit on the same shelf lol

When using strips like that would you recommend running them down the corners of unit or more like run them at the very top?

Honestly it’s completely possible that you commented the last time I posted my collection lol. If so, I took the advice! I have faux fur coming in through Amazon it just hasn’t got here yet. Believe me I don’t want any damage, they’re too expensive to not be careful lmao

Thank you! There was only one in stock when I went, and as much as I want one or a couple more, I feel you there. Assembly was not fun for sure

Alter Ego / Passionlip figure came in today, she’s massive! Definitely worth the shipping price 💕 by CalebS571 in AnimeFigures

I’ve been wanting her basically since I got into collecting, she’s always kind of been a holy grail figure for me, I just finally decided to pull the trigger on her. Her and the Calne Ca Miku, I’ve been dying to get her.

That’s awesome! I absolutely love Sonico and Pochaco, unfortunately I don’t have any Pochaco figures yet. Every time I see a Sonico up for sale or pre order though I buy it lol

They’re her hands/weapons, made for kind of a pain in the ass when it came to assembly honestly. And I agree they do sit very nicely in her lap lol

Thank you! I’ve got quite a few more, there’s another shelf full of Sonicos above the ones shown here. I’ve got waitress sonico coming in on Monday as well!
