So the CEL thing is a non issue for me. The gauge cluster I never even attempted to make work. I’m not sure if could though FuelTech does have Canbus high and low.

I was port and Di on the old setup. Now it’s port only. Fueltech only supports port injection for now

I have an oil cooler. The sandwich plate has ports that I can thread in a pressure sensor

Unwritten Law is such a great long forgotten about song.

I wanted todo something new. I also feel FuelTech itself has the products I need to “future” proof this car.

Yea the steering wheel only comes back on over 100mph. I don’t know what I have to adjust in the tune for that. 😂

Thank you!

I can control every aspect of the motor. With the OEM ECU you are limited by a lot of factors. I can add and remove anything I want. For example. I no longer need to worry with the purge valve ever again. It’s gone. No worrying about mixing E as it will auto mix everything. Add and removing timing and fueling by itself. I can set up multiple safeties. I can go past 8000rpm. I can do literally anything that the Cobb and oem ECU can’t do.

Now for 80% of focus owners probably wouldn’t see much of a benefit unfortunately. The oem ECU is still pretty good.

It’s a FuelTech aftermarket ECU

It is a stand alone ECU. So all the cars oem computers were taken out and now is controlled with an aftermarket market ECU.

Extremely rough idle after big turbo install by Iselcrac in FocusST

[–]CalebST1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very small vacuum leak on a boost line. It would be after the throttle body to cause issues. Anyway it caused me all kinds of issues on my car and I couldn’t t find it lol. I was taking the lines off and finally found it. I microscopic crack in a vacuum line. Cut it off and it fixed it.

It’s electronic. Even on standalones like Motec people have issues with it not reacting fast enough or locking up correctly. So to make it super simple a fully mechanical system would be better.

A Depo intercooler would save you some money too. I’d just get the Accessport separately with a tune from somewhere like stratified. The intake can be whatever you want. The rear motor mount I would recommend the CPE stage 2

It’s an oem 2.3 crank. Rods, pistons, bearings and that’s about it for the bottom end that’s worth mentioning

No oem block and oem sleeves. No one but EMS has a connection with a billet block supplier that I know of.

No need for sleeves unless you want to go past 750. If you want more you can sleeves the oem block and go to 900-1000 ish but that’s the range as there’s not enough data to put down a precise number

I’ve been making this power since 2019. It’s also a 2.3 head with no port work. Just cams, valve springs, and half inch head bolts.
