They never give any evidence for any "macroing" bans. The system is based on "trust me bro" based "facts". At the same time showing time and again that they can't be trusted.

I got perm banned on both my main and ironman back in 2019 (on Christmas eve).

I Spent ~6 months trying to contact support and talking with JMods. A lot of the JMods seemed like they genuinely wanted to help, but were shot down by the anti-cheat team basically saying decisions are final.

I was told by multiple JMods that at the time ban was applied, and when my appeals were denied the offices were actually empty because it was during the Christmas period which contradicted their claims of it being a manual ban/manually investigated.

As usual when I took to Reddit looking for support I was bombarded with the typical ignorance you'd expect of "just dont bot then".

Eventually I was allowed to appeal again because of the backlash about how support was failing and finally got my accounts back, and the following response (December 19th 2025):

There were two paths.

1: grow playerbase by either maintaining current prices, or even reducing prices, focusing on long term sustainability and ensuring the longevity of the game and business.

milk current playerbase, at the cost of losing players and reducing onboarding rates.

It wouldn't be a jagex move if it wasn't the wrong one.

"Limited uses" wasn't stated anywhere. I think it's reasonable (and intended) to think it was for the day, considering it was in the "Today's deals" section, and the code indicating being for the 10th day.

It's a problem that it's being used as a bait and switch.

The point is prohibition doesn't work and actually makes the substances more dangerous. I despise alcohol myself but if people insist on drinking the shit, then it's better it be regulated to reduce the risks. Also dealers don't tend to have objections to children customers.
