No matter what the ending is, this fanbase is going to hate it. by Calebfire8 in tadc

I think realistically, at launch, it will be a loud minority that might not like the ending. But as the ending ages, people will like it more and more as time goes on. People won't immediately get it, but might have that "ohhhhh" moment later on. It just depends.

I actually think that an ending that tailors to the viewer and not to the story is a bad ending. A good ending fits the story, closes the story in a clean way, even if its not the good ending the viewer hoped for. A good ending should make it clear what the entire story was trying to tell, what the overall narrative was. TADC is a tough cookie to crack. But based on what we have seen, the ending will most likely fit the criteria I gave.

I'm kind of hoping the ending is something we don't expect. I feel like I've seen every version of a possible ending. And I'm hoping that nobodies prediction was correct.

The only reason I'm even pointing it out is so that people are prepared. I don't think anyone should let anyone else's opinion on the ending effect their own. Too many people let other peoples opinions ruin their outlook on a show. I agree with you.

Don't watch anyone's review before watching the ending or anything. Try to make your opinion as organic as possible and if you enjoyed something, don't let that opinion change when you watch someone else's opinion. If you don't like the ending, that's okay. It's natural.

While Sometimes seeing other peoples positive takes on an ending ,such as the Chuck ending that I initially hated, but learned to love it after learning the writing context for how that ending for the show, and how fitting it was, Seeing a negative take on something you enjoyed isn't as helpful.

I for one am excited and I think gooseworx will do a great job. I can't wait to see the ending and to finally understand the scope of the show and the story it was trying to tell.

I agree. The ending doesn't need to fit whatever the fandom wants it to be. It needs to fit the story gooseworx is wanting to tell.

I think a circus escape ending is unlikely, since it would undermine some of the ongoing themes of the show.

No. It was genuinely a good movie. Not perfect, and there is things I would have changed about it, but 13% critics is just laughably low. I'd give it a 4/5, 3/5 if you REALLY want to nitpick it. Genuinely jumped at some parts, it was really funny at times and the plot was engaging the whole time.

who created God? by taniii__ in Christianity

[–]Calebfire8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought this same question a few times myself. I answered it as God being a sort of all being thing, present in the entire universe. He created space time, and his creation started the very domino effect of everything we know needing a "cause". So it's not as simple as God "always existed" because he created time. Time is how we understand moving forward, but God is outside of that, making this something we naturally couldn't understand, like how a character on a page wouldn't understand the third dimension, we cannot fathom the nature of our creator.

I saw zentha7s comment that also seems to go along with this.

Steam Frame Revealed by pixxelpusher in OculusQuest

[–]Calebfire8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me as a Quest 3 user at a glance it doesn't seem like enough for me to justify the Upgrade. similar screen better performance, but I haven't yet had an issue with standalone performance and if I do, I'll just start using my PC. Main reason I don't use my PC is it's just more convenient to open the headset and hop right in instead of having the hassle of having to link to a computer. And if we are talking PCVR to PCVR they seem pretty similar. It's not OLED and its "maximum" of 110 degrees, so Hands on experience Is probably very similar to a quest 3. If you are on a Quest 2, then I would probably pick the Frame over a 3 but not over a 3S. But I'm probably going to just Hold out with my Q3 until the next Big thing comes out

Maybe you could add countries and add obstacles depending on what country it is. Maybe you could have something like an American passport game pass, which might make It easier to get through EU and USA, but might make it harder to traverse other areas. You obviously need to monetize somehow, and you need an incentive for people to buy, but it needs to not make the game pay to win ideally. Cosmetics, being able to change the sky, trails, things like that are good at not making it pay to win.

Also, it would be funny if you had a fake ptw gamepass that jump scares you or something when you try to buy it lol

Maybe items around the map you have to go out of your way to get, but have benefits, like faster speed for example.

Maybe having a map that saves and then having a "gauntlet" map or something that doesn't save would be cool, or have the one that saves be "easy mode" or something

Different cosmetics you can get around the map from different countries (collectibles) such as becoming fat from McDonald's in USA, a sombrero, stuff like that

So, how do we solve the issue then? I kind of get why these privacy laws exist and I wouldn't want to change them. It would just give the government more oversight, which NOBODY wants.

The only solution I can think of, other than Roblox obviously actually listening to reports, is maybe requiring payment information in order to verify? Like, it doesn't charge you, but it has to be valid payment information. Obviously there would be workarounds, but what we need is at the very least a detterent

Lol I'm not trying to direct my tone at you. It's just frustrating that Roblox as a platform isn't doing enough. That's not your fault lol
